168 hours in a week, and this guy was dedicating 112 of them to work, not including commute times. After factoring in the minimum amounts of time he'd need to allocate to other things throughout the average days, he'd be lucky to get 3-5 hours of subpar sleep per day. Plus, he was doing it so he could afford to buy them things like annual Disney trips, trips to Europe, and other numerous luxuries they could easily have managed without. While the lady in this story sounds like she handled the whole thing very poorly, the guy honestly did it to himself for allowing it to get so out of hand. Even if he had seemingly admirable intentions by doing that, he ended up being a terrible parent to his children as a result by being virtually non-existent to them just for the sake of spoiling them rotten. Hardly valuable life lessons to teach your kids. So say what you want about the wife in the story, but that guy evidently had issues of his own to sort out if he thought THAT was what being a good father was all about.
