I love the early mornings. I love the morning dew and how everything is nice and fresh and quiet. I love getting done with everything for the day by 9am while some people are just waking up.
.....unfortunately, I can't do that anymore since my work hours have been changed to 1630-0100. I'm still up at 7am, but it still feels "late" to me.

It's amazing how a night of 7 hours of sleep with an alarm in the morning never feels like enough, but after a weekend night of 7 hours I wake up wired and can't fall back asleep if my life depended on it.

Slept till 6, walked dogs, 45m of cardio. It's my birthday and we hung out with the neighbors last night - drank a bit too much so slower start to the day but whatever. Still got the work in.

In on this. Usually in the gym by about 6am. Really looking forward to pretty soon when I won't have to shiver in the car all the way to the gym in the morning.
The morning workouts seem to be helping with my cut. In the past I almost always hit the gym after dinner. More crowded and more HBBs to mire in the evening, but the morning workout starts the day off well and has me feeling alert and ready to go when I arrive at work instead of being groggy.

Atrocious workout to start the week. Hitting legs 2x a week seems to be making my progress go backwards. I am ditching squatting all together while cutting. It's being completely counter productive at this point.

Diet needs to get more serious too. Might even have to cut out the booze for a few (Lord help us).

Also, I feel like I'm looking different but not noticing much weight loss. I mentioned a bit earlier in the thread that I haven't been lifting regularly over the past several years. As a result, my lifts have been going up and my muscles are looking a lot more full even though I've been cutting.

Up at 5am today, got the dogs around the block, was sipping coffee on the fan bike by 5:45. Working session of deads was 3 plates for 5 - I've hit 4 for a single so this was a decent lift without killing myself. Pull ups, curls, lateral raises for accessory work.
Between Friday and Tuesday we have the 3 busiest days of work of my whole year in a 5 day period, then it slows WAAAY - gonna kick this weekend in the ass then relax into having survived tourist season.

Been quiet crew. Hope everyone is still slaying their mornings. The 3 on 1 off, 3 on split has been tough but I'm adjusting. I feel great still using the Vertical Diet. Cut back carbs this week, gotta keep leaning out.
Finally got my house on the market for sale. Went on Friday, and have 9 viewings between today and tomorrow.

Up at 5:30 this morning, walked the dogs then just did 30m on the bike. My last (LAST!) crazy-busy day at work so just wanted to get a little something in. Going to squat my brains out tomorrow, no excuses.
Finish line is in sight my friends, hope your days are similarly rad! Go forth and kick ass.

Happy Monday crew.
Workouts have been great lately. Waistline is tightening up daily it seems. I should look pretty good in 4 more weeks. I've been training 6x a week, hitting everything twice for about 3 weeks. I like it a lot but won't be sustainable once summer comes around. I plan on going back to 4 days and just maintaining until winter when I can go hard again.

Happy Thursday y'all, almost there! The Season of Iced Coffee and Sundresses is upon us.
I chose to do leg day on laundry day...that's a solid three flights of stairs way too many times for my liking, but then again maybe I shouldn't let my laundry pile up.

In. Been train8ng early for 4 years. Wake up at 3:30 or so and drink coffee then go kill it in the gym at 5. Best time to get it in and not interfere with “life”, no crowds. Dieting for summer and ahead of schedule. Should be leanest summer yet.

Been going hard at 3:30 am for the past few weeks, lifting 5 days a week (P/P/L/Strength/Explosiveness) and doing cardio/mobility stuff on the other 2. Off to Canada land in 3 weeks so that's kinda an enforced de-load... definitely feel like I'm temporarily overreaching, but 10 days of mostly chill with some light hotel gym workouts should see me recover nicely.

Currently this is my routine for anyone interested:
Day 1: Chest/Delts/Tris
Day 2: Back/Traps/Bis
Day 3: Legs (lighter)
OFF
Day 5: Shoulders/Arms
Day 6: Chest/Back supersets
Day 7: Legs (heavier)
Have not been doing any cardio, but throwing in weighted carries 1-2x a week. I am leaner than my AVI right now, and about 12lbs heavier. I'll have to take some progress pics soon. End of next week maybe.

Weighted carries are the chit, was watching Brian Alsruhe on youtube post workout and he was asking 'if you could only do 1 lift for the rest of your life what would it be?' - a bunch of the guys in his gym went with farmer's walks etc.
Currently running: Viking bare bones (L/P/P/L/U)

Brings her gallon jug of intra-workout, gloves, and phone and puts it all on a bench for storage while she uses a different bench. 10 minute breaks between sets because she's an orbiter of a 50s-60s jacked guy who lifts at the same time. Constantly following him and asking him to show her new techniques and critique her form. Lol. Thirsty.TFW no cardio bunnies. I will say when I trained at Crunch there was quite a few babes there in the morning. Not the current situation at my new gym however.
