I took bat profits at its peak (sold 50% of my BAT) , and hoping to buy back in if it dips again(unlikely considering recent news). Is this the right way? Or did i make a mistake selling BAT.

I was watching GDAX, that chit was insane -250BTC wall demolished in 3 seconds (someone bought 70.0) and then it dumped just as quickly.

feel like the support at 8000-8200 we made on the way up will hold strong, its normal to have a correction after such a huge run up. i don't see us getting back to 6k's tbh so better the correction come now then later

I like how we have a few hodlers that have a huge portion of their portfolio (and worth at a guess at least $100k+) in one crypto:

Tommy - Zencash
Dafar - BTC
Insanity_SC - REQ
OP - WTC
Parkerscott - BAT
DoyouevenNEM - NEM

Will be exciting to see how these playout, who will be CRUSHED? who will be ceo 100k per day? will they all make it?

Strong bish slap at 9k and alt cuckage. I wonder if the whales try for a few more legs down or was it just a bounce off resistance and we will grind back up. If it were during the week I'd say we are going down but during the weekend I'm not so sure

Fyi new guys, when btc runs alts take just as big of a hit as when btc falls.

Started with about $50,000 over a four month period or so. Got into OMG at $0.56, and had a DCA of around $1.40. Sold a bunch for ZEN back in October, but still held onto about 7,000 OMG coins at the time. Then I ended up selling the rest of my OMG last month when it was dipping hard, and I picked it back up at a lower price.

Yes, it sucked big time seeing everything drop, and I probably should have sold much earlier, but hindsight is 20/20. It's bounced back pretty well recently, even thought it's getting rek't today.

Really big injection of orderflow back into the market, lot less chop. Fun trading of altcoins over the last few days, and yet I still missed the big move on the European open a few hours ago. Oh well, such is life.

1. BTC is still the "safest" crypto play, most reputable crypto in the sea of ****coins/scams and attracting institutional investment, least regulation uncertainty, no single point of failure, proven anti-fragile, longest history, etc. It's still arguably the best application of blockchain (reserve currency, sound money, digital gold) where decentralization matters. BTC has an unique position in decentralization, security and self-governance, people who think anything with a "blockchain" provides the same benefits as the bitcoin blockchain are morons. BTC does one thing and it does it best, and it's still the leading contender to become a world reserve currency. When (not if) central banks around the world start allocating 1-5% of reserves into the established blue-chip cryptos it's game over. BTC is like a plug into the crypto market, if you're bullish on crypto market cap hitting trillions (it will) then it's highly likely BTC is gonna rise with it, whether it stays #1 or becomes #2 is irrelevant. It probably won't moon the hardest on the next bull run, but I'm not trying to guess which ****coin is gonna make it to BTC status... I'm at a point where I just want an "easy" and relatively "safe" 5X and then I'm done.

2. I already made it. Remembering the days I had no money and would waste hours trolling for the misc (https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=153038271) like an idiot, to now losing 7 figures in 2 months status. FEELS F*CKING GOOD BABY. I'm ready for more. The next one is going to be epic and probably my last one.

3. I still have ETH/NEO/OMG/WAN/ICX, pretty sure way more than most people here hehe

Bitcoin is the index of crypto in general. Just like the S&P 500 is the "index" of the normal indices market.

Yes your returns are less than if you trade penny stocks, but you're absolved of a lot of the risk that **** brings. And you have all the liquidity in the world... and you have so many options. Yeah. I personally don't really see the need to trade anything other than blue chips unless you like throwing a couple bucks at some random **** hoping that in a year or three it'll 100x (again).

But that's closer to pure gambling than investing\trading Bitcoin or Ethereum is IMO.
