I rate it lower. 6/10 as I posted in my review herehttps://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...post1575181771.

But yeah, not really political unless you go nitpick. As of Kree/Skrull storyline. Its like that in comics decades ago. Kree wiped out most of Skrull planets.

That said, its probably still in the lower part of my MCEU favorite movies. Its just too... dry.

It's amazing how Alita : Battle Angel, and Wonder Woman, both released before Captain Marvel, were able to not have any "girl power" or "da evil white man" storylines in them... they were just action movies with a female lead... and both have high audience scores

Theres no evil white man in Captain Marvel too. Just the main baddie is white(who is not even human) same as WW. Even the main villain got a team of 2 black guys(one painted), and a woman.

I think its Brie's words that caused the audience score to go down significantly.

I'm not an expert in this chit, nobody here is. An expert analyst in that industry says that movie ticket profits (not necessarily revenue) are dwarfed by other profit streams. I don't know where the lineups are, but I guarantee there are lineups of girls out there waiting for their Captain Marvel merch and hassling their parents to hit Disney Land when the attractions are released

By the way, the MARVEL STUDIOS at the start of this film where it usually shows a lot of different Marvel characters, in CM, its all Stan Lee. Lots of his cameos and photos. So thats really made me smile. Then the words THANK YOU STAN or something after.

They really should have saved that for Endgame.

Also, Stan Lee is officially in the MCU as himself based on his Captain Marvel cameo instead of being a Watcher or a Watcher informant or whatever was revealed in GOTG2.

This chit is going to ruin the whole “Audience Review” feature for everyone. If they can’t effectively curb the neckbeards and bot users, they’ll probably end up disabling the function entirely. Maybe they’ll retain the ability to leave comments but they’ll remove any score or percent indicator so there less incentive to bombard the review section

Where's your proof they didn't see the movie? Because they rated it so low? That's circular logic. Why aren't they removing all the 10s?

Maybe they’ll come up with a way to tie user reviews to actual tickets purchased similar to the way retail websites handle their review sections. I don’t want to sift through reviews from people who haven’t even used the fukn product, that’s just a waste of time

I’m guessing the websites threw together some criteria to identify reviews that are obviously from people who haven’t seen the movie and are just angry, I think it would be pretty easy to isolate 95% of those

If people haven’t seen the movie and are leaving equally-obvious fake 10-star reviews, those should be removed too. But I doubt there’s much of that

I thought it was bland and boring.

I don't understand the appeal of the actress in this. I thought Wonder Woman was going to suck but then the actress really tried to act and show emotion and responses to what was going on. In this the actress seemed very flat and like she didn't want to be there. I thought that was odd she had no charisma.

As I recall the leader of the Kree was a giant mutated head, correct? In this is was an older white lady.

Captain Marv El was a guy in the comics with epic powers and a sad tragic death, in this, he's the older white lady.

Not the typical witty dialogue of a Marvel movie.

Unnecessary feminist stuff too. If you have a superpowered female character just showing her doing good and being awesome is enough. She doesn't have to be snide and you don't have to have inferior males around. Wonder Woman was a great example. She was an ethical person who liked people no matter what.

Over the years of my life, I like DC more because of this. It's too bad their movies aren't what they should be.

I didn't see much connection.

This was a weak movie to introduce the character.

Same.

I basically downloaded this and Battle Angel and I'm glad I did. They are not worth paying for.

That's sad because I used to love going to the movies.

Downloaded Captain Marvel and shut it off half way due to sheer boredom. Will attempt to finish it tonight (or just skip to the end credits) and give it a proper rating. So far, it's a 2/10 from me.

While Alita had its problems it was still a better movie that Captain Marvel. I watched it because for any potential connections to End Game. Alita was a fresh change of pace despite the fact it was a bit cringy in some parts

Also You're watching big budget movies that are 90% CG on cam footage. The low quality of the video and sound alone is enough to hate a movie. I remember I first watched Avatar from a streaming site with cam quality audio and video and I though the movie was chit, then I was dragged to it by my brother where we watched it in IMAX 3D and I was blown away.

Brie is very wooden in the face.

That quality isn't caused by lesbianism. It's caused by getting bukkaked by a team of execs for your big break and then hating yourself for it.

Also, she flies off into space with her leather bomber jacket on. But doesn't the jacket burn up in the atmosphere? You could argue that her energy protects it, but they show several times that her energy is burning hot, and would also burn up the jacket.

It made me miss Guardians. During the space parts, I kept thinking about how this would be a good point for Drax or Chris Pratt to drop in a joke. So Disney's strategy was to bring in angry Brie and chase off James Gunn. This is why we can't have nice things.
I knew nothing about her until this movie.

I don't understand what she is. She didn't act at all during the film.

She is either someone's relative or girlfriend. She appeared to have nothing to give the part and just said lines with an expressionless face.

It was the least fun of all Marvel movies.
