Except when you poll white Americans on political and cultural issues they're more closely aligned to each other than other groups. I wonder if you polled Americans with Russian and Italian heritage about Trayvon Martin, migrant caravans, ect... if they'd poll closer to each other or Russian Americans would poll closer to Americans from Nigeria or Central America?

I'm not using logic but your counter point to my argument is using yourself as anecdotal evidence. Of course there are non-white Americans who are more traditional and conservative regarding culture and politics. But I'm looking at the macro prospective. Republicans always win the white vote, Democrats always win every other race. Clearly there are cultural differences between white Americans and every other race.

IMO might be more about preservation of self interest.

Take Mexican's for example. Heavily Catholic. Anti-Abortion. Have strong gender roles.

On the surface Mexican's align heavily right culturally. However, economically they are benefited from Dem positions and open border policies. The decision is less related to beliefs and more that they are doing what will benefit them the most. (As we all do.)

Open borders doesn't actually benefit them economically though. It's more of a moral/cultural issue for them. Mexicans are just one example though. You can look at Indians or Jews. Both make a lot of money on average, huge Democrat majorities. Polling shows most immigrants today see themselves as global citizens more than Americans. Culture

Not saying you are wrong. Just saying more goes into it economics and herd group think play big parts.

It might not benefit the person already here (unless they are illegal or their parents are.) however, chances are they have family back in mexico that would benefit economically.

I've debated with legitimate racists on other forums and they all claim that only the smartest should rule and white people should enslave blacks mexicans and other brown races because they're more intelligent and that all we're good for is cattle.
