like someone posted in this thread already this is the 3rd or 4th church that burned down in paris and I don't believe in coincidence.

and I am guessing they will try to link this somehow to the yellow vests they are still protesting after months now.

It seems someone pulled the fire alarm at 6:20 - or maybe it was automatic - and responding firefighters were unable to locate the cause so concluded it was a false alarm.

I doubt this was done on purpose. It doesnt take much to start a fire. Anytime we are dealing with anything with spark potential at work we actually have a "fire watch" and they gotta stay at the work location for an hour after we are done. Jobs like this are typically all about speed and not safety so they dont clear the area of anything that can catch fire or contain any sparks they are producing or do a watch down of the area before leaving to make sure nothing is smoldering. Hell even with all the safety controls at my work they still manage to have small fires every so often.

Comon dude MULTIPLE church fires recently, in a city with one of Europe's highest muslim populations, along with tons of those same people CHEERING while it burns, and you think its not related at all? Not even entertain the possibility its related? The same people who in muslim majority countries do WAY worse to christians and churches to include burning/stoning them to DEATH and burning the churches?

The sad reality is that churches just burn pretty good. There's a lot of wood in them and they have nice spaces for heat to build up as it rises. Construction fires are as routine as things get.

At this time, all indications are that the fire started on the scaffolding. Attributing it to arson implies that the arsonist was either on the construction crew or otherwise got access to the roof or scaffolding unnoticed. That'sdefinitelypossible, but there's nothing to support it for now.

That crazy people exist does not actually show that crazy people did something, nor is the Muslim population in Paris particularly high compared to other major European cities.

I agree. I just find it equally bizarre that people are insisting that it's obvious "they" did it based on, literally, nothing, while ignoring the obvious concentration of lit cigarettes, sparks, flammable chemicals, and electrical current that you'dexpectbased on known facts. Common things happen commonly and uncommon things happen uncommonly.

A few years ago, tradies obliviously cut down the local courthouse Christmas tree a week before other tradies were supposed to decorate it. That wasn't Muslims, either. Just idiots.

I'd have a pretty low threshold for believing this was an arson, tho, given the circumstances.
