There's enough young talent now but there are no leaders. No one is holding others accountable. And every single succesful squad from then up until now was composed of that level of quality combined with (young) players who also wanted to win. They weren't all world class, some of the were guys like Brown, Fletcher, Neville, Butt, Park, Heinze and others but they had that winning mentality and they executed the gameplan and worked their ass off. Whenever someone dropped the ball, Roy Keane would be there to tell them exactly what they did wrong and if he didn't do it, Ferguson would do it in his place.

Look at Real Madrid after CR7 left. The dude kept an entire team in check practically by himself, he didn't allow his guys to be soft. You need some animals in there who are willing to cross some lines to win.
