Lets be honest, football in the US is a complete joke at the professional level.

The USMNT is a complete joke as well.

Which is a shame when you consider how many kids play youth soccer...but there isn't a pipeline like the European clubs have for the youth.

For example Man City's manager played 10 season as a mid fielder for F.C. Barca from 1990-2000. While the L.A. Galaxy manger played for the UCLA Bruins.

Plus in the rest of the world football is looked upon as being a way to pull ones family and self out of poverty, kinda like the NBA and NFL in America.

In America, soccer is mainly a middle class and above white sport.

Or maybe its the rolling on the ground exaggeration of fouls to get a referees attention? Other than that though I really enjoy watching it and was upset the euro 2020 was cancelled. I heard that majority of MLS teams dont make a profit and it just continues the cycle of not being able to afford good players. Maybe that is it too? idk
Insulting Americans is not the way to make soccer popular in the USA. Why can't you respect people just find it boring and it has nothing to do with attention span.

It’s soccer fans that are vastly unappealing and gross imo. The crowds are horrible.

No we don't lol. New Zealand is more about Rugby though, what we find boring is America's 'we need pads cause we're woke and #feelings Handegg' lmao.

The main reasons why I understand are

1) it does'nt offer an high enough scoring game - waiting an agge between toimes Goals are scored

2) There is no structure for it - Promotion/Relegation does not exist - it is based on a "closed shop" that only allows rfranchses for so long and

C) Though it is my personal opinion - ok East to West and North to South and vice versa's is many many miles but it only becomes a National Leauge in the Final - I am sure a National Leauge can be arranged and Teams fly if games are split correctly

It isn't a coincidence that every sport in the US is maxed out in spot time vs commercial, sponsors, etc time. Even the fields, jerseys, surrounding fences, shoes, visors, hats, etc, nothing is left untouched by monetization.
American football and baseball were wildly popular before TV. That is not the reason.

Also soccer uniforms and pitch/field has far more advertisements than US sports.

The sport is so boring the fans feel the need to make a spectacle of themselves. Force them to just sit down and watch a soccer match and they would realize how boring it is.

US culture peaked in the early to mid 20 century, when it was influenced directly by European culture - the Art Deco period is still peak US period you guys had and I'm 'miring it. But after the 80's, epsecially the last two decades or so - things have gotten downhill. Would sound like a racist ****, but ever since black culture became mainstream in the 90's and started growing more in popularity the US culture lost it's way.
But the rules of soccer and the strategy of soccer is far more simplistic than US sports.
