Hospice is like you and the doctors know you will be passing away and you can choose to have care givers at your home taking care of your needs and comfort till you do pass. My dad passed at home under hospice with all of us there. She knew this was coming and just posted like life's normal.

If it was cancer, I wonder if you just know when you're about to die.
Like does it happen randomly out of nowhere or is there a period of a few hours where you can feel yourself dying but gives a chance to say final goodbyes?

I think you know when it's time and your body has given up. I had a close friend pass a few years ago to stomach cancer. At that time hospice wasn't coming into homes (because of covid.) If you wanted to die at home you were on your own. My friend asked his wife to take a couple days off from work to be at home with their 13 yr old daughter...he didn't want to die with just his daughter at home. He ended up dying on his bathroom floor during the middle of the night and his wife found him the next morning.

I think I only had one interaction with her on here, but she seemed like a genuine person. We all have issues that we battle, and how we react to them is what's important. How she still interacted on here in a mostly positive light through all that she was going through showed a quality of character that most of us should learn from. RIP Snails.
