Tough break for consolecels, but I'm honestly not surprised given the scope of the game. Seems pretty massive.

Dungeons of Hinterberg and 33 Immortals were awesome surprises. Hyped for those.

Clockwork Revolution looks stunning, just not a fan of time loop games.

Was hoping that Forza was coming a little sooner.

Monkey Island DLC looks cool, weird seeing them in that art style but it seems like the same voice actors. Will definitely play through that.

Forbidden West chits on Starfield graphically and they're both open world. I know you don't have FW yet but I'm telling you, the assets, particles and NPCs in the world look way better than Starfield.

There's absolutely no way Starfield has to be 30fps while Horizon Burning Shores is 60fps. Burning Shores takes the already insane graphics of FW and somehow turns that up a notch.

Don't care what anyone says, Starfield will 100% be 60fps on the Series X.

Avowed look like sh*t. Fable looked like woke trash BUT Starfield looked great.

Either way, Fable is a choose your character game. Even the 1st on had M/F options and I think maybe even race. It's been a long time since I've played it though, it definitely had a M/F protag choice.

I still need to finish the Starfield presentation, but so far it looks solid now that they've shown it off properly, but I'm looking at it through the lens of, "The Expanse: The Game."

Skills looked pretty anemic, but there's at least a good bit of depth elsewhere.

One of the most pleasant surprises was that they only mined resources one time. I'm just relieved that they have a variety of alien fauna to keep things interesting because their early descriptions of more "grounded" focus had me worried. Instead, it seems like they really meant that actual planets, gravity, the way the light works, space travel, ect. Very pleased with that.
Fable I was expecting the worst, so I'm just glad to not see that. However, I'd say the most justifiable approach is cautious skepticism since there was zero gameplay.

Avowed was another that I expected the bare minimum on based on Obsidian's last game while only knowing that Pillars is some kind of spiritual successor to dungeons and dragons, so at least it wasn't lame as schit likethat.

The trouble with the type of trailers like Avowed's is that we don't know anything about the mechanics, a bit like Starfield's reveal. It took a large breakdown ofwhatthe game was about, how it worked, and elaboration on its systems did someone like me begin to get on board.

That said, I don't think Avowed will be forme, but I'll wait and see if they can back up "doesn't look like dog water" with some real hooks and if they improve upon the weak spots.

For example, the magic waslulzybad.Yeah, it's all a bittoo much, and then the game itself looked like even more obnoxious.

I can't take these people seriously when they try to make these "rise up against the evil, rich oppressors!" narratives for both games and movies/TV, and so many of the tone deaf idiots keep trying it. Like in this case, they're working formicrosoft, like fukk off. It's like they're trying to appeal to reddit and zoomers with zero self awareness.

If you watched the demo I did, it just keeps getting better and better. How could you watch that and have anything but great things to say?


There's just so much variety and freedom. You can already feel how huge and storied the world is and how many factions and ways to play this there are. You can go to fancy parties on interstellar cruisers or explore uncharted planets.


You can already feel that you'll easily pour 200+ hours into this. Bethseda speak so confidently of this, they know they're on a winner here.

Exactly why I'm not surprised it's 30 fps. The scope of this game is massive and wildly ambitious. Doesn't seem like it will be the average open world style game.

Could they really not downgrade the graphics slightly to get Starfield to run at 40fps so at least people with 120Hz TVs can get a significantly smoother experience. 30fps is a slideshow especially on modern OLEDs which aren't really capable of displaying it properly because it's so last gen. An old ass LCD would actually feel smoother thanks to pixel delay and smearing

I'm fine with 30fps for single player games ..... I just hope my 3080ti and ryzen 3700x can run this 60, but I have a feeling I'm gonna get mogged on the CPU side.




Hopefully in later patches or when the series X-1X comes they can bump it to 60 lmao.
