Sniper and a double barrel ,all you need to run thru this game

I Didnt finish my first run

But I found almost everything to be useless clutter

This was almost exactly how I played.

You can level up the shotguns to have a knockdown on enemies which is incredibly op. Matched with the high dps, enemies pose little thread because you simply just knock them over then finish then before they get up. Spec into faster reloading for the double barrel. Even if they get up you just knock them over again. It's basically stun lock on enemies.

I also got some legendary explosive sniper that was strong af, so I'd just snipe the snipers then jump in and shorty everyone like a maniac with the slow time build

Is there a way to view game progression like % completion? Because idk what actually contributes toward 100%ing the game or whether the effort is worth the rewards, if any. I already feel a bit OP and I'm playing on hard. Doing a lot of the NCPD jobs and cyberpsychos. Ngl the AI is kinda dumb and easy to. Often the fights are in big areas with stuff that blows up which makes me think I'm supposed to be playing like it's Doom Eternal rather than COD

LOL I remember getting that sweet suppressed sniper rifle in one of the character story quests. Using that with a cyberdeck and a shotgun will carry you through the game.

True, because of the 2.0 update and the expansion, a lot of people who just ignored it during release because of the bad press it got are playing it for the first time.

Don't worry though, that part is just a small part of the story, there's a lot of twists and turns in this game so just be careful not to get spoiled again. Though it's very hard these days especially because of it's new found popularity. Yesterday I was just browsing youtube and saw a thumbnail that is a spoiler for Phantom Liberty.

I've been getting into starfield but considering starting CP2077 too.
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Dogtown is insane.

Also, it's not mandatory, but my advice is to do all available side quests with Panam and Judy before going to Dogtown. There are also other side quests in the base game that could effect your experience in Dogtown but for now prioritize Panam and Judy's quests first before going there.

First time trying this game and playing base game first.

This game is AMAZING so far. What an experience. And I've barely even scratched the surface upgrading my character or getting tricked out guns. Just got past prologue and going into interlude.

There's A LOT I don't really understand about upgrading character, which attributes are the best, upgrading my guns, etc but love how many options you have. Hopefully with time I'll pick up on that.

Wish the developers didn't screw up the launch because if it originally came like this it would be GOTY.

Pretty sure they recorded a Harley Davidson M8 or twin cam engine for the idle sound of Jackie's motorbike. It's got that off axis lope you only get with a Harley. Just wish I could customise the bike to make it look more like a Fatboy

Yeah there's so many things in this game that you can learn. I'm a long time player but even before update 2.0 I still haven't learned everything about the attributes and stuff because I played with another build during my first playthrough. And now with update 2.0 there's so many things for me to learn. Just take your time to ease up on them and learning them one by one.

Jackie's bike is an Arch so what they probably recorded is Keanu's motorcycle brand as shown in this video


But they recorded so many vehicle sounds so they probably mixed up some stuff

Sort of, I think. The Arch looks like it has that archaic American V-Twin familiar with Indians and Harleys.
If you look at Jackies bike in the game it looks like some hydrogen powered nonsensical mock-up.

I think we saw one of Keanus bikes in the new Matrix movies too.

Now that I've played a lot of update 2.0 I can confidently say that the new cyberware system + new available cyberware is probaby 3x or 5x better than the previous system. I actually get excited to visit ripperdocs now. I did too, before, but only on my lower levels and mostly only for optical camo, arm cyberware, and double jump. Now I'm nearing level 40 and still get excited to get new chrome.

I was going to ask how far along I should play the main story before I go to dogetown. I've had multiple play throughs with pre-2.0, and I want to make sure I don't miss out on anything, nor get lost in a new story.

Yeah, when they first announced that, I was wondering how they'll do it and thought it won't be that good as gamers are just so used to their armor being incorporated in their clothing items, but they actually did a really good job with the putting armor in cyberware. Now I can't wait to get more money to get more chrome.

Yeah it's not required of course but I feel like the minimum to get extra experience out of dogtown is to complete Judy and Panam's quests. I've heard there are more with other characters that'll give you extra stuff though but can't confirm that myself yet. But yeah, let's just say that just like in real life, the more connections you have, the better, especially when you're going in the most dangerous part of town.

12hrs into base game and barely scratched the surface. Doing a lot of side quests and there's a ton of routes to take even sticking to the main.

If the momentum and story stay this good this game may be one of my tops.

Cringed pretty hard at the one-to-one therapy session with a fkin joytoy. Fkin annoying, I wanted to threaten her to get the info I needed but instead my guy turns into a simp and starts pouring his heart out to her no matter which dialogue option I chose.
