Not stupid at all. Was just lolz that your 'stock to keep an eye on' is probably the 2nd hottest EV stock of 2020 and it went from like 2 bucks a share to 60 in months.

Lidar, was a shiet tier penny stock all summer until people actually discovered that their tech is solid and now theyre actively looking to have the company bought out by a big autonomous driving player.

Basically the lidar version of NIO

Lol, this. The run-up has been crazy, though there might still a lot more room for it to go up if it ends up becoming the dominant EV player in China. I have no position in it though.

As for it becoming a penny stock again, unlikely, but with Chinese companies there's always the risk that it can become another Luckin Coffee. Or hell, even take a look at Alibaba. It's the crown jewel of Chinese companies, but all it took was for Jack Ma to say one wrong thing for the CCP to send his ass to reeducation camp.

Undervalued LIDAR company. Right now, they are years ahead of everyone else in the lidar game. They were a pennystock all last year and got almost killed by the china virus crash but then people started realizing that their product is actually ahead of the game by a large margin not only in performance but in price as well. There is a race by tons of auto and tech companies to develop an actual self driving car and lidar is essential to that. TSLA will even have to adopt it eventually. Come April, they will have do a demo showcasing their product in which many expect the stock to jump to 50-70 pps maybe even more if a buyout follows. Some recent dd:


-they have a former Ford exec in their board in December

-Ford sold off all of their competiting lidar shares (velodyne) in december as well

-the state of michigan just bought 1,000,000 shares for their pension fund

-they just a $50m ATM which is either to set up all the work for a buyout or to continue their product

-they announced a model two weeks ago and the pps shot up almost 100%

-insutitonal ownership hovering around the majority (cant remember exact figure)

JFC the options premiums are insane. $8 for a $20 April put. I don’t know much about Lidar but I remember Musk bashing the technology. I’ll have to read about MVIs tomorrow at work maybe gamble 10k on it

Musk bashed lidar because years ago, lidar units were like having a giant bucket on the roof of your car along with being very expensive and not as good. the tech just wasnt there yet. no one wants that, no matter how awesome you car is so tesla went with cameras and radar instead. thats not the future and musk knows that. he WILL have to adopt lidar eventually - all the other auto manufactures know this too.



musk bashing lidar is like how apple use to bash OLED. the tech just wasnt there for them yet and when it was, they adopted it and marketed it accordingly.

Meanwhile Tesla's cameras can't tell the difference between a tire in the middle of the road and a person.

Lidar is also being used in mapping and smart city technology as well (traffic and pedestrian flow optimization).

GM (Cadillac) Super Cruise already destroys Tesla.

It uses Lidar.

Every magazine review already says GM is better than autopilot.

I avoided the SPAC thread for like 6 months after OPESW went from $4-2. Made me miss out on June-December SPACs, glad I wandered back in just in time for CCIV

Really only missed out on SBE and CIIC then. SPAC crash of September was a bloody mess.
