Yes and no. This isn't an indication.

Their best forces were/are Azov and Legion. There are some combat experienced troops peppered through the ranks that rotated through the donbas line over the years to deepen the maturity. However they may have been consolidated into their own battalions.

You'll see all kinds of forces mixed. The offensive took some serious casualties on the way in and there were herds of them. Getting on down from the bombers and in-range artillery was paramount to group/unit/individual survival. Between that and no opposition and the long distance tied with fuel logistics, you'll see an extremely mixed bag of units until they reorient in the coming days.

LOL terrorkunt is definitely a 350 pound lardass hammering away on his acer laptop daily 24/7

Only wishes he could be on the battlefield. Too bad they don't allow fatasses with psychological issues

Sigh. Fake US veterans ought to do a lil more Googling before making boisterous claims over an Indian bodybuilding forum

I can say with high probability that compared to fall and winter Russian small drones cannot get IR through the thick acre dividers in the farmland though it is where most of where the casualties are taking place.

As of now, they have to drop massive amounts on long stretches of these woodlines. It is the ONLY way ukrain can advance and mitigate the bad situation. Essentially this will turn into open field advancement

I'm rather certain that there won't be much left of logistical means after more infrastructure blows that started.

Russians started fixed wing bombing today too. Not sure it's a thing but it's rare. I'll let you know.

True. I hope he sees it that way though. He may think there is no hope for peace with the west and that Taiwan will eventually become empowered to act as a bulwark against them, as we were planning with Ukraine.

Seems that Ukraine would be better served being able to withdrawal forces quickly.
Rail is the determanitive

Russia has a massive rail mobility unit.

No one believed me when Russian forces disappeared into Belarus from Kiev, dropped off half in Belgorod, and assumed logistics in the south and east. It took a manner of days.

Ukraine would hit a rail somewhere and it would be repaired near immediately.

Think about this. If your goal is to meet on the battlefield as much as they would send, wouldn't you want as many fixed there in the fall and winter?

I'd have to do some work and find an estimate of what they have there in place. Should be 50-100 in the capital and about the same south of, 50-100 in Kharkiv, unknown on front and holding untaken or challenged towns and cities.

I thought the war had stalemated, but with this counteroffensive, it will go on for quite some time. Ukraine will be emboldened by their momentum. They won't want any settlement.

That was different though. The war actually ended very quickly, but we stuck around and tried to nation build.

The military victory happened very quickly.

According to scott ritter ukraine managed to pull their real soldiers out months ago to be trained in europe which is why the front line has been these untrained territorial guard types. Thats how much planning they put into this offensive and all they got for it so far is kharkov and a lot of dead ukrainians

This is nowhere the same to compare. An occupation and big arrow warfare with a transition to an active battle line reminiscent of WW1. Is neither the scope of the entry and occupation of either war in the 2000s.

If we were talking Gulf War 1 big arrow pinning and swath grabbing with joint combat, sure we can do some limited comparison with MEU actions.

But no. Not the same. At all.

The war will go on regardless of further or repulsed counteroffensive action.

The word you were looking for was culminated as in the counteroffensive that took Kharkov is still ongoing in an effort to break a line towards Mariupol, ZPP, and others. Other smaller efforts are likely done and ended tragically. The rest are slipping away with rising water.

Your political opinion has nothing to do with our fights in either war in comparison to this one. Yes we had a poor withdrawal in Afghanistan. Yes we nation built in both. Yes we were successful in Iraqs nation building and not in Afghanistan. We absolutely trashed opponents there in either case. KIA was a 1:10 ratio in both.

No. You can draw broad comparisons with weapon support but it's paralleled with lend lease the Brits enjoyed in WW2.

Artillery rounds are the lb for lb cost of 70/30 hamburger meat and is carrying the war. Yes. Ukraine will have to expend 20% less energy, the US has to have unlimited strategic reserves, & OPEC has to not restrict output (oct marks the day 100k a day restrict to reorient the price upward).

I'll say it again. The only way to kill Russia off is to greenlight oil and gas production permanently and massively to cut Russia out.

There is some confusion about this. There is train to trainer. Operator training. Operational leadership for command and control etc which are smaller and faster turn around and then there is what I suspect massive amounts of recruit training occurring. I think the early Russian warnings made sense to the recipient training bats.

I'm still amazed dignitaries come and visit.

Both of these scumbag countries blame one another for atrocities, shelling, and false flags.

Eta but I think existing remaining mil are now senior leaders pushing new forces forward. How could they not just off of natural rotation?
