This study shows a parent being b12 deficient from a Vegan diet can negatively impact her children
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3607807/
"In children, the association between vitamin B12 and cognitive development has been mainly observed in infants born of vegetarian/vegan mothers or mothers on a macrobiotic diet. These diets can result in vitamin B12 deficiency, as vitamin B12 is largely found in animal products. A pooled analysis that included 48 case studies of infants with vitamin B12 deficiencies reported a variety of abnormal clinical and radiological signs, including: hypotonic muscles, involuntary muscle movements, apathy, cerebral atrophy, and demyelination of nerve cells (Dror and Allen, 2008). After vitamin B12 treatment, a rapid improvement in neurological symptoms is reported in deficient infants, but many of these infants remained seriously delayed in cognitive and language development in the longer term (Dror and Allen, 2008). The long-lasting effect of vitamin B12 deficiency is supported by the findings of Louwman et al."

Five pages and no one has convinced each other of anything. Welcome to the misc.
I stopped drinking milk since going keto and ever since it kinda grosses me out. I add cheese to food and put cream in my coffee though but there's no psychological factor of thinking "this liquid came out of a cow's breast". Almond milk is great though.
Oh, my household only buys Horizon brand milk and cheese. They treat cows right.

I can't wait till some wackjob convinces people that eating plants is evil and that Star Trek food replicators are the only ethical option. I'll never understand how eating bee vomit is somehow less ethical than eating a living plant...

Are people still coping in here and justifying our disgusting treatment?
If you're gonna still consume dairy and meat like myself, at least be in honest that you aren't morally justified.

To be fair, not all dairy farms operate this way. Most of the locally owned farms in the country here are rather small, family operated, and they treat their cows really well. Been to many and spent a lot of time around them.
