I paid $70 + tax for a 200 round pack of CBC M193 today (35 cpr + tax) because good LGS is good.

I have a GSSF Pistol Purchase Coupon burning a hole in my pocket. Most regulars have probably seen me comment about needing to find an excuse to spend the money to use it by now lol, had it over a year

Does anyone even notice the U notch compared with the square? Only tried the U once and didn't notice much, but some guys swear it's better
I don't know if the notch makes a difference or not in practice, but I think it might and I like it. But it's not a deal breaker on that kind of deal. It's also an orange colored front (daytime paint color) vs the yellow I prefer but, again, that deal, and orange is acceptable front sight color even if not my favorite.

I mean, Ameriglo night sighted G19 Gen5 for $508...'course there's the old reliable Gen4 for $425 with stock sights too.

I have both the Trijicon HDs and the ameriglo with the orange front sight. I prefer the ameriglos due to the blacked out rear. I like the u notch a little more on the trijicons but it's not a big deal. I found the ameriglos to be easy to pick up even at night. I think that's a great deal on a gen 5 worst case scenario sell it for what you got it for or more.

But the Trij HD has blacked out rears also?

Yeah I think I might have to do it. A real world in-my-hands comparison between my Gen4 and the Gen5. As you say, worst case, I decide I don't like the Gen5 I'm sure I can get the money back or trade it on a Gen4.

The Ameriglos I'm talking about don't have the tritium in the rear making the front even easier to pick up I think they're the Hackathorn sights. I also have different set of ameriglos with the tritium in the rear and the white front sight which are great as well.

Looking for a decent scope for my mini 14 (I know, I know, check my location and it will all make sense). I'm looking at a Nikon Prostaff which seems to be getting decent reviews on Amazon. I don't want to spend a ton of money because it is a mini14 after all. I know Leupold makes an excellent product... pricey, but awesome. I don't know too much about optics yet.

I use my Prostaff 5 4.5-18x40 out to 300 yards. It serves me well. Would buy again.

I disliked completing my last review but I also wanted to give my boss a complete review. He had 12 other reviews to do in a 2 month period, so it was in my favor to turn in a complete form that showed what I had done for that period. I didn't expect him to know more than 75% or so of what I put in the review. Not fun but worth the effort for me.
Draw from holster practice.

E3z26UGHXGA

3J_ZpWZprMM
Don't be so quick back to the holster. Good habit to alwaysdrawthe way you would if you meant it (even if you go slower, do the same movements), and good idea to take your time putting it back. Stop, look/glance around, think about what you are doing, and slowly and carefully put it back. You don't want to build the habit of just shoving it back in right away after drawing/shooting, it's good to be in the habit of looking around, and re-holstering is a great time to have an ND with most popular modern pistols IE striker fired so a little extra care is warranted, especially appendix.

thanks for the advice

Yeah I doubt I will carry both at once. I was just trying my new belt out and decided to put them both on but I will 95% be likely carrying at 4 o' clock with one of them and not appendix.

Whenever i'm training holstering/re-holstering, i always yell "DRAW!!!: as i do it so it gives me the urgency.

so then if i'm ever fighting for my life and have to pull the gun, i'll be conditioned to yell 'DRAW!!!" and make it that much better and faster

Speaking of, sword, another tip, if you are going to do a no-look reholster (debatable topic), you can use your wing thumb to find the holster, as in, left hand pulls garments back, right hand on pistol, right hand thumb is stuck out away from the gun and you poke the thumb into the holster to locate it, then slide the pistol in.

I have no idea how to find a video or picture example of this, though, so hopefully you know what I mean.
