easier said than done..he was probably standing near an entrance with a door/wall to his back. ever played call of duty zombies? if u stand in an enclosed area its nearly impossible for them to kill u unless u have to reload...the correct thing to do is have 4-5 people rush him as fast as possible.yes he might hit a few but the odds are he will be taken out

Sweet video game logic bro but I have legit incspacitated a fellow manmore whilst he was trying to stab my friend in the neck and I have decked several other worthy opponents in bar combat and I'm confident in both my ability to land a hard punch and my unwaivering determination to save the day in dire circumstances. That being said yeah you're right I'm talking out of my ass but so are all these idiots clamoring to ban guns or the even dumber idiots who say guns aren't the problem.

Guns are the problem but sadly there's just too many of them. The only way gun control works is if it's Nationwide and 95+% of gun owners legal and illegal are compliant with turning their firearms in to the state. That will never happen and even if it did it would only further empower the government to control us.

banning guns wont work, i agree...neither will more armed guards. Theres always a way around the system. Like I said earlier most of these shooters are white loners, they probably lock themselves in their rooms all day and stare at some form of a screen. Gotta go back to the old days...unplug and go outside...communicate with people face to face like nature intended...build communities in your neighborhoods. ect ect...everyone is so isolated it could almost drive anyone crazy

1997-2001 Marine here. I have never been in combat and I don't have PTSD. I was so sad to learn that the shooter was my Devil Dog. I can't even imagine what brought him to this and I will never pretend to know what he went through in his tours.

I don't even know what I want to say. I am so sorry for what he did. The families and freinds will never be the same. My freinds who survived Route 91 are forever changed.

Don't condem Marines and guns; because we aren't all this way. In fact, most of us love you and would defend and do anything for you. No matter what you believe in...........

I love how all of the anti gun soy boys are ignoring the fact that this happened in CA which already has the strictest gun laws in the nation. It has every law and then some the left claims would stop this, mag bans, background checks, ar15 ban, waiting period yada yada yada.

Guns are not going anywhere. We wont let you ban them and we wont give up our rights for your scared little delusions to give you a false sense of security. This is the epitomy of believing that because there is a law all of a sudden people will follow it. Guess what buttercups evil wont stop with new laws. You're so out of context I'm baffled. Tens of millions of people didn't flock to America in the 18th and 19th century because of tariffs. They came because it was the land of opportunity made possible mostly because of the individual liberty at the time. You could setup shop selling pants off the back of your wagon within a day without worrying about endless regulations/inspectors/taxes/etc. Now days a 10 year old can't even sell lemonade off their parents lawn without being cited. Freedom is why people came here and succeeded.

No chit sherlock they banned the selling of guns in chicago so of course guns would need to be purchased outside the city

It also didnt say hiw the criminals obtained the guns. Outside of chicago is still illinois so they need to get a firearms license and wait 72 hours. I dont think criminals are doing that right?

So chances are those guns were legally purchased and then stolen by criminals

The authorities investigated tbe shooter for aggressive behavior, earlier this year. However, they decided not to take him to a psychiatric facility, let him remain at home, and treat his PTSD on his own. Obviously, that was a huge mistake. Similar mistakes were made in Florida earlier in the year with rhe Parkland H.S shooter.

Yes but the problem is that if you ban citizens from having guns it could take up to 75 years before you could confiscate all guns from everyone.

Taking all registered guns would stop criminals from getting any more guns but it would take a long time to filter out all the illegal guns already out there.

People don't really understand that all illegal guns come from guns that were made or sold to legal owners. Mostly they are stolen from legal owners and manufacturers or legal owners lose them. There are still WW2 era 45's on the street that belonged to someones dead grandfather.

So yes banning guns would solve the problem eventually but the results would take time.

False. Thousands of unregistered illegal guns cross in from mexico everyday. That would only increase if a gun ban occurred
