People cheat regardless of marriage and kids, just like the surgeon did, and she would've probably done the same. Nice going trying to excuse her infidelity cucks

If you don't want kids then it would be good to change women every decade or so.

Makes it more interesting, everyone brings something different to the table.

This. OP is harder to identify than the likes of GMiscer because he actually posts seriously every now and then, but more often than not he just posts fake cuck stories from reddit.

I seriously doubt that he even has a girlfriend.

The surgeon is married and his girl is just a side chick. Not to mention its a short-term dreamter investment because if women don't get tied down before they lose their glow, then the only thing they'll be getting is toothless, raspy-voiced trailer trash bar thugs to fuk them in the future.

That's antiquated thinking. Without a prenup (which isn't even bullet-proof), marriage is an absolute crap shoot for men. And if she didn't like it she should have had the respect to leave amicably. OP did nothing wrong by being clear about his intentions. She could have picked up and left any time, without all of the deceit.

Don't cave to the begging and pleading, only reason it's been called off and you got notified was surgeon got busted and is trying to save his marriage so broke it off with *your* girl. So now that you've been notified, your girl lost both her men and left with nothing which is why she's freaking out now.

If you really are in the no marriage/no kids crew then this is not a big deal and it was time for fresh anyway, good opportunity to go get some.

Damn, 9 years of being monogamous while at the same time being a cuck and a laughing stock amongst the surgeon, his pals and your ex and her girlfriends.
And you best believe the surgeon knew about you OP, from the sounds of it they've been smashing for months if not years. Only thing to do now is go NC and move her out of your place.
I'm wasting time even writing this though as its most likely a coal shed.

"It's just a piece of paper." So is money, but we bust our arses for that every day.

This isn't justifying infidelity. It's simply saying that you reap what you sow. The surgeon is not going to have a sterling family life from now on. His wife will hate him and take him for everything she can get, and his kids will turn against him. Twelve years of twelve hours a day to become a surgeon and build wealth and a family, and he tosses it away to fck a chick who's bored with her boyfriend who won't commit. He's reaping what he sowed, too.

If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.

Hopefully not everyone thinks this way. Otherwise why would you stay with someone? You should enjoy a relationship and value the time that you spent together. If it's time to move on then you should grow from it.

9 years does sound like a long time to be with someone who lacks integrity, though. Regardless of the OP's troll-job.

Now, there is a silver lining here. My life is not over. You know why?I have always been in the no marriage/no kids camp. She is going to walk with nothing, deservedly. Her name isn't on my mortgage, no kids to use as leverage, and my investments are still mine. Her friends and family have scolded me for years for "refusing to grow up," but it was the smartest decision I ever made.

Your head seems to be in the right place OP.

I haven't red the whole thread, but I'm guessing you're in your late twenties? If that's correct then you need to realize that being single in late twenties/early thirties is fukking amazing. Once you get over the initial awkwardness you're going to enjoy life a lot more homeboy.

It might take a few months (took me like a month to get back into it after a 3 year relationship), but trust me, this is the best age for single shenanigans.

Stop spouting this incel bull****.

At the end of the day, most people are reasonable, and most people have feelings. You telling OP that she's happy is a poor attempt at redpilling him.

Here's what's really happening:
- Said girl is likely shocked/dumbfounded/embarrassed right now, and is trying to process what just happened. She hasn't realized the full scope and implications of her actions. She, no doubt, feels bad, and probably regrets her decision. She is slowly realizing that losing the security and comfort of a 9 year relationship for a quick fling with another male isn't worth it. He may have money/prestige, but he can't replace all the good memories OP and his ex have had. He has likely been there for her many times, while the surgeon couldn't give less of a ****.
- Said surgeon probably doesn't know about OP. Said surgeon probably doesn't care about the girl enough to marry her and give her a good life.

Cliffs:
- People who make mistakes/poor decisions are not immune from feeling bad.
I'd like to back up your statements. I haven't had any relationships on the matter, but reading numerous stories, it seems like the ex always calls back to mend things or better yet get back with you.

Made it through day 1. Still being crushed by the weight of 1000 stones. How long does it take to feel even remotely better?

In my head this was going to be much easier, but it isn't like the movies at all. Just feels like I'm dead but still walking around.

It was discussed literally on day 1. She never complained about it, even now. She just says she wasn't happy and made horrible decisions.
