Also You're watching big budget movies that are 90% CG on cam footage. The low quality of the video and sound alone is enough to hate a movie. I remember I first watched Avatar from a streaming site with cam quality audio and video and I though the movie was chit, then I was dragged to it by my brother where we watched it in IMAX 3D and I was blown away.
Some downloads I get on very high quality, but some are cam, and that does affect enjoyment.

Battle Angel was okay but I like stories with a lot of plot and that didn't have much. Still it had more plot and Captain Marvel.

Many people at Blu-ray forums(very big movie dorks community) dont blame Brie. Says its the fault of the writers/director to give her this type of smug/serious character. And that no other female character can pull it off.

I dont really see feminism in the movie(unless you nitpick), but I think Brie is just boring. Same with her role in KONG: SKULL ISLAND. In Blu-ray, its split, many says its one of the worst Marvel movies(like me), while many are saying its top-tier with Winter Woldier, etc. lol.

I thought Battle Angel was pretty good except for the forced love scenes. That part was pretty cringe. No idea why they force an idealized 14 year old love affair onto a robot killing machine. Other than that the movie was pretty entertaining. All of the fight scenes were great.

Captain Marvel is a boring character in any case. As a comic book kid all I hope this movie set us up for (including Infinity war) is:

A serious reboot of the X-men series a la Batman reboot - and an amazing part of a movie someday where Rogue sucks out Captain Marvel's powers and tosses her off a bridge - for me Captain Marvel was just a silly foil for Rogue in any case.


I saw the movie too with my wife, it was fine, but the character lacks complexity. Also theSpoiler!

Captain marvel isnt a flagship character so i dont expect her to do well with casual moviegoers. If its an enjoyable movie thats enough for me. You guys have more in common with the sjw complainers than you think no cap Im keeping it all the way 1000

I'm not white so I can't sympathize with you all but like I said I dont care about that stuff as long as its an enjoyable movie. However it is your money and you can do whatever you want with it. Yeah, it was at 54000 user reviews @ 34%.
Then 50000 reviews were completely wiped and it went to 4000 user reviews @ 36%.

Now it's randomly @ 52% and climbing.

last night the score was at around 37%. this morning it's at 52%.

rotten tomatoes and imdb are the perfect example why msm, general movie reviews, and movie critics are pointless. the opinions and reviews are biased, and the company will look out for its own interests, no matter what.

Corrupt review/social media, nothing new. This is why I don't take sites like RT seriously anymore. Even youtube is corrupt. Blizzard made the most insulting announcement ever, got rightly down-voted then YT let them delete comments, re-upload trailers multiple times and edit the vote count under the lies of "It's bots". If you can profit from being reviewed in a positive light then you should be locked in if it's negative. Who knows how many producers/directors/companies are in bed with sites like RT.

But you have bigger problems if you needed a review to know how good this film would be. Politics aside, it's all been downhill since Dark Knight/Ironman 1.

I stopped reading/listening to reviews a long time ago given they don't mean chit to me. I've seen movies that RT destroyed and said it was terrible, yet I enjoyed it and vice versa.

Just lol at believing any critic/rating website.

My Liberal friends are talking about how awesome the movie was all over their social media. The funny thing is that I know for a fact that at least 75% of them (likely more) also saw Alita....but no comment on that one.

The benefit of critic reviews is those people are known and accountable for their reviews, and they follow specific criteria/structure for reviewing movies. That gives them some credibility, at least there’s a trail to follow if they’re full of chit

Audience reviews aren’t trustworthy whatsoever, any random fuk can create an account or 20 accounts and plug in whatever they want regardless of whether they’ve even seen the movie. Until they can increase the barrier to entry and build some trust into Audience reviews — like through a “verified purchase”-type system — this chit has minimal credibility.

It’s maybe even safe to say the only people caring about Captain Marvel’s Audience score at this point are those trying to manipulate it. Until they can remove the bots and fake reviewers (in either direction), that number means nothing and surely nobody is basing their ticket-buying decisions on it.


If I were RT, I would straight up disable it. If people are going to abuse it, then just remove it until you get a handle on it

Well let me tell you, it's not an enjoyable movie at all. Her acting is dry af, shes not likeable. It was hard for me to get into the movie when she just cant act. On top of that, shes not really pleasing in the eyes and she looks stupid af in her costume, primarily because she has the flattest ass I have ever seen in any actress

Critics are also hostage to access media and the bubble of hollywood. It was Slate, Vox, or Vogue that gave this movie a 9/10. A fukin 9/10. Just lol.

if that is the case then i have absolutely no problem with your assessment of the movie. if the movie does suck like you say then i don't want to hear it from the critics saying it's a 9/10 movie. i don't like that **** at all. i havent' even seen the movie yet and i can sense already its getting the black panther treatment. a movie that was average to above average at best compared to other deep films yet the hype train was ridiculous. i will say it again. it's a comic book movie and that's it. these critics need to stop judging it like its some movie with some deep meaning. these ****** didn't give a fuk about captain marvel in the 70s 80s 90s and 2000s but now she is their favorite superhero? nah. fuk outta here with that

I streamed it. It wasn't good. She's terrible in the role. The music didn't fit the scenes at all. Just generic top 40 stuff nothing moving. The nirvana song was really like wtf? The cat part didn't even make sense. She morphs into a mary sue with no discernible weakness. Basically a superman that doesn't need the sun and isn't allergic to kryptonite. Extremely lame setup that gets resolved in like 5 minutes of her flying around blowing everything up. Lots of grrrl power lame one liners. The bad guys are the good guys and the good guys are the bad guys lame plot twist. Topgun meets Men in Black with chitty acting and terrible music.

Oh and they also retcon her as the first avenger.

Nah she’s not the first Avenger. That’s still Captain America. The name for the Avengers came from her Air Force callsign. Still, it was stupid making her callsign “Avenger” to make that happen. There were plenty of thing that this movie fuked up for the MCU though. It should be called Captain Continuity Error.
