Been playing AOE 2 DE and preparing for TBC classic lately. Finding it hard to really want to play a game for more than an hour at a time, anyone know that feel?

Not exactly but I can guess what you mean. With work and other chit in real life, sometimes I'm too exhausted to play games and would rather spend my free time sitting back and watching a documentary or something. But it really depends on the game. I'm a history nerd, so Total War: Three Kingdoms and Ghost of Tsushima are really hard to put down once I fire them up, and I play for around 6-8 hours straight.

Maybe you just don't have a game at the moment that is just the perfect blend for you, the way those two games I mentioned is for me.

I keep hearing good things about ghost of tsushima I should definitely try it out

Yeah I feel you I mean having time to do it is definitely one thing but even when I got an afternoon free or w/e it's kinda hard to sit down and just do some gaming always seem to want to do something else

Yeah I think definitely just don't have a good game to sink into at the moment

Started trying to do an all boss speed run of Bloodborne over the weekend. Forbidden Woods is awful especially since I haven’t done too many Bloodborne runs so I don’t have the best path memorized yet and the Rom fight is a wall. Other than that it’s been pretty easy. Using a strength build with the saw cleaver I can melt through every boss in under a minute for the most part. Only leveling vit end and str. Want to get a sub 3 hour time like I did in DSR and DS3.

Final Fantasy 9 and Alan Wake leaving gamepass soon. Guess I know what jumped to the front of my backlist now.

Got 38/48 bees on Yooka Laylee Impossible Layer. Tried the impossible layer, and it's pretty darn hard. Only got a third of the way through. i think I need more bees.

Definitely all have a different flavour and they've done a good job with how they each would really fight. Hulk much more close up and physical, Iron Man hovering in the air and using repulsors, etc. Haven't gotten to Hawkeye yet.

Trying to beat Fight Night Champion, stuck on the last boss lol. On hardest difficulty I think and I'm getting destroyed just like when I tried to beat it couple months ago.

Other than that, I'm firing up Grand Turismo 5 and might mess around in Pga golfing game.

The Playstation 3 I brought late last year was a good choice

Finished my build in AC Odyssey. Working on upgrading my ship to legendary now. Don’t think I’m going to bother with the final upgrade levels though. The prices are insane. I finished the main quests already so if I’m going to do the DLC, it might have to wait until after i finish exploring the map and doing the rest of the side quests.

RE8 coming out might put that on hold though.

Stoked to play the remastered ME trilogy, which I see it is £55'ish. Seems a lot for what are effectively three pimped out xbox 360 games (one from over 13 years ago), but I know that to play even the first amazing game with updates graphics will be an awesome nostalgia hit.

Finally beat Ghost of Tsushima. Though it took me 1 month and 10 days, that makes it the fastest game I've beaten in years. It was just so good I kept playing it whenever I could. I'm also a completionist so I collected everything and explored everything lol.

Kind of disappointed in the performance so far TBH, I ran the benchmark for RDR2 at 3440x1440 and I averaged 28 FPS.. with everything ultra. Curious how Cyberpunk will do, if my performance is chit I may upgrade to the 5600x or 5800x. It's barely any different than my GTX 1080, I was able to run RDR2 with that card with the same fps, albeit the settings were toned down to medium/high.
oh yeah i remember you're the bro that got scammed lool.... At least you got the card from the looks of things.

But lold at the performance on rdr2 ..... I think on cyberpunk you can push it well, but you might need to enable dlss or get rid of rtx as a compromise if you wanna run native res at 4k.

if cyberpunk is good tonight (20% left on download) I won't upgrade to a 5600x.. but if I do, I'm concerned about Windows 10. I've used windows 7 forever and windows 10 sucks ass, they made everything so clunky.
Heard a lot of talk about how RDR2 pc is poorly optimized but I played it with my 1060 and I was getting around 30-40fps high-ultra settings 1080p. I think it's just a matter of turning off some settings that really eats a lot of performance like screen space ******t occlusion and reflection msaa.

Though with a 3070 I'm surprised you're only getting 28fps even at 3440x1440. You might wanna try turning off those two settings that I mentioned.

If it helps this is my graphic settings.

But yeah, with a 3070 I wouldve expected you could have just maxed almost everything in the settings and everything would be fine

I'm guessing my CPU is bottlenecking things.

also I'm sick of these ridiculous startup errors on games, every single one has a problem with me missing some .dll file or something, I think I'm just going to upgrade to windows 10 along with upgrading my CPU to a 5600x. I have a 6600k right now and that's pretty outdated
For a guy who just dropped $1400 on an OK 30 series graphics card, you sure have a lot of other parts that need upgrading. Maybe you should have started there and waited to see what happens with GPU prices

Just beat Titanfall 2 last night. I had always heard it has a GOAT single player campaign... it has a fukking GOOOOOAAAT single player campaign.

Finished it in 7 hours. The setting is kind of cheesy (looks a ton like Avatar) and is straight up recycled out of cliches, so not a ton in the way of originality. But the first half is pretty much learning how to use the awesome movement system, then past the halfway point, it becomes just GOAT setpiece after GOAT setpiece after GOAT setpiece. And yes, I did tear up a bit at the end. Wood make a solid movie, srs.

well I beat Alan Wake. Such an interesting story. Got twin peaks and stephen king vibes.

and it being 720p didn't even bother me that much, even sitting only a few feet away on a 65'' tv.

Crazy how much graphics have evolved in the last 11 years. Even Quantum Break, which was still 720p on xbox one when it came out in 2016 shows massive improvements in graphics.

dam brah

I bought Bloodborne awhile ago but for some reason haven't touched it in awhile after playing it a few hours. After muzzlr finishing it and some brahs playing it I may give it a go again.

For now though I picked up YS VIII when it was on sale. I really like the fluidity and combat and how it doesn't feel like it's just button mashing where you have to time your dodges and combos. Feels really smooth to play. The story is kinda eh but I knew that going in so I was like w/e, heard the game was really good. The boss encounters are fun. I may make a 2nd run in inferno mode lol, I put it on hard mode. Not really that difficult although some encounters took me one or two tries. The exploration, setting and scenery is kinda cool too.

Discovered this indie side-scrolling game called Eastern Exorcist. It has a free demo in Steam too.

The fights are pretty hype, the melee attacks are quite standard hack en slash but the character has exorcism arts which makes the fights more dynamic.

It's like Witcher but side-scrolling and set on Ancient China.

You need to exorcise monsters after defeating them with a sword. Character designs are cool too. I also like that they put a bestiary for the monster descriptions. If you like folklore you'll probably like this.

^ Remaster is done quite well tbh, I'm surprised. Good to have the definitive version of mass effect now.

I heard the main story is a fun playthrough, but the post game is grindey repetitive mess.
I just bought the game coz it was cheap a few days ago on PS5 ..... Yeah the artsyle is amazing, game is a definite looker.

But the chapter 2, electronic device puzzle thing kept giving me a ton of trouble, so I had to rage quit lol. I'll prolly get back to it later after I get done with mass effect.

Had completed Days Gone about two weeks ago and needed a pallet cleanser before starting my next 3rd-person game (Ghost of Tsushima), as I was totally unprepared for the size and scope of DG. Don't get me wrong, it was very fun - I enjoyed it from start to finish. But I wish I'd known from the get go that I was starting a RDR2-size game (only a slight exaggeration).

So to take a break from those style games, I booted up RE7 for my first playthrough. Absolutely loved it, beat it in about 5 sittings, and will buy Village at some point in the future.

I have like 12 games in my backlog, along with casual play of NFS Heat & Persona 5 Royal. For those two games, I usually just play like 30 min here an there. I know with P5R, that means I'll be playing for like 2 years...
As much as I want to grab the new R&C and other 2021-release games, I'm not touching any "new" games until I knock out that backlog.

"Work from home" isn't going to last forever, after all.

Anyone misc brahs play any card games at all?

Pinochle, poker, gin rummy, etc?

Now I’m guessing some of you are Magic The Gathering fans? Did I hit the nail right on the head?

Never played the actual card game, but I bought some Magic The Gathering cards back in high school because I thought the art works were really cool. My first gamer tag came from one of it's cards and I used that gamer tag for years and years.

And I also remember playing a PC game long ago which is called Magic The Gathering: Battlegrounds which I thought was really cool once I got the hang of it.
