Toss in the fact that during the prior wave [at least in the US] there was a much lower level of testing being done:

before- symptomatic people being told to just assume they have it because there were only tests available for those who were severely ill

TO

now- testing of people with a much broader range of minor symptoms + asymptomatic [often vaccinated] people for screening purposes

So realistically:

before- much higher number of cases than reported = fatality rate probably lower than reported

TO

now- much higher number of cases reported + high percentage of false positives [maybe 67% for asymptomatic vaccinated people] = fatality ratesignificantlylower than in the last wave

Hospitalization numbers are being hyped here a lot. However in the prior big wave we were hearing of many many people being told to just go home and don't come back unless you become actively hypoxic [low oxygen].

Does anyone believe [or have any proof] that hospitals are still doing this? Sending seriously ill people home?And you can hear both of these statements in the same half hour broadcast news segment.
