Roe v wade was unconstitutional from the start. Fewer things need to be settled in court, more things need to be settled by voters in each state.

Overturning roe v wade doesn’t make abortion illegal, it leaves it up to the state. The people in the state who decide answer to the voters. If they make it illegal and the voters don’t support it, they will be voted out and newly elected officials will change the law.

That is the way it should have always been. Roe v wade is less about abortion than it is about the role of the judiciary is setting policy. Dems have wanted to ram their unpopular ideas through the courts for years now… that needs to stop.

I dont really care about this issue, I'm just absolutely speechless at the timing of this. This cant be real life.

Democrats raise more than $7 million in hours after leak of draft Supreme Court abortion opinion

Democrats energized after leaked abortion decision jolts midterms
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...erms-rcna27038
“This decision and this leak — hell, that just re-stoked the fire in our bellies,” said Felesia Martin, vice chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party. “You know what I say? ‘God bless you and thank you.’ We’re going to take this and let it motivate us and re-energize us to do the work.”
Serious question. Who makes the decision on the SCOTUS to start a debate on controversial issues? Roberts right? Who in their right mind would time this decision right before the midterms?

Betting markets also swung a decent amount towards dems. They’re still sunk but it definitely gave them a boost when they had absolutely nothing and were dead in the water a week ago.

voter turnout

Voter turnout among young Dems in midterms averages around 20-25%.

This will increase their turnout especially if actually gets overturned but even if it doesn't get overturned it's already stirring a hornets' nest of them.

Prior to this Dems were getting a little more complacent and bored with their party and politics in general.

Understand it often only takes a few points change in a party's voter turnout to radically alter election outcomes.

On top of voter turnout you also have the increased fundraising that will likely come from it.

but also on top of those two issues, some will change their votes altogether over this; I don't think you understand just how big this issue is to many women, especially young women; who will decide based on this instead of some other issues they may have decided on instead

I don't care about abortion in most cases either. The less undesirables breeding future Democrat-voting wards of the state, the better.

The anger from the hideous blue-haired whales, however, is absolutely delicious.

I don't see this really changing the elections much. It'll come out june/july and summer will be around and by november they'll have moved on once they see all the states w/ codified laws giving them abortion rights, just like it'll happen when the option is transferred back to the states.

This. The more unwanted babies are aborted, the better the outcome for society. Sure there will always be the great comeback story of the child who makes it big from the broken household, but the odds will tell you if a mother is thinking about aborting a baby, that baby being born will likely lead a terrible life and will be a leach on society.

But I also just lol at people who are either:

- anti-vax mandates and pro-life
- pro-vax mandates and pro-choice

If you fall into either one of those categories, you are a certified hypocrite. Personlly, I would rather keep government out of my life for as many things as possible. What that means is I don't give a shyt whether you abort your baby and I don't give a shyt whether you get vaxxed. You do your thing and let me do my thing.

I think it's possible for someone to believe the government has no right to force them to get a vaccine while believing
his mother has no right to kill him. I'm not entirely convinced by your hypocrisy argument.

kavanahug and amy lied about it during their confirmations. reversing a settled law opens pandoras box. this issue is NOT about "unborn fetuses"

you have no idea how much you angered literally 70% of the country....

after this one, whats next ? since settled law means nothing... over turn gay marriage ? leave it to states if they allow interracial marriage ? - 70% of the country is against because of this. This is way bigger than just abortion.

Of course they will spin in as a ban on abortions, and their dumb sheep will eat it up, like all the other issues (blm, vax’s, Ukraine, etc)

Even if they overturn it, it doesn't mean abortions are illegal or outlawed.

Yet you retards think not only that will happen, but they will also make gay and interracial marriage illegal.
