More like twice your pay and we pay 25% taxes less than you. Brb I joined the Navy after High School so tuition and housing was paid for so no student debt. Brb paid $1020 through my company's health insurance in 2021.

Like if you have insurance your out of pocket cost isn't dick for 95% of people.
If you don't have insurance, its because you're poor or a loser, and guess what? Hospitals generally eat those cost anyways, which is why these massive bills you see people post are really just bills their insurance companies are paying to the provider, while the insured isn't paying dick out of pocket.

I have had a couple ambulance rides, insurance covered them and my out of pocket wasn't more than $200.


My state has state sponsored health insurance for any poverty people, its basically the GOAT insurance if you can get it, it pays 100% of everything. Good thing it goes strictly off monthly income and not assets. My insurance agent was telling me about this guy she helped with like a family of 6 that is a multimillionaire, his cost to insurance his entire family was going to be like $6k/mo but because it goes off your monthly income and not assets or anything, the dude just restructured himself and got on it. LMAO. I was like **** I want to do that one day.

One of the silliest things repeated here is about healthcare costs for Americans. A guy in another thread said ambulance rides are $5,000-$10,000. I had an ambulance ride last year. Cost me $80.

Following that ambulance ride I had a fun 3-day stay in the ER then the hospital cardiac unit. I hit my max out of pocket of around $7,000. Yeah that is a lot of money but pretty good deal for saving my life IMHO.

So I'm fine with our "expensive" healthcare with instant access to life saving medicine.
