Owner of a fully paid for primary residence and several paid for rental properties checking in. It is 10:15 AM here. I am in a tree stand looking at the beautiful woods this morning and about to go pick up a blood trail of a doe I shot at 9:50 AM. As I have sat here enjoying the scenery and the great feeling of providing some of the greatest protein man can find, I found myself asking, how does it get better than this?




Then I see 3 notifications on my phone. All 3 were notifications telling me I had received funds from some of my rentcels. God it's good to be providing housing for the less fortunate.

It's our mortgage. We bought our home together in the late 90s. It has appreciated from $400K to over $2 million. GREAT investment. I was worried about it at the time but I couldn't be happier now. Plus it's right next to the hills with an incredible view, there is little crime (you never see cop cars here) and the neighbors are mostly quiet, and the schools are good. I don't think Silicon Valley will be hurt by any recession given the demand for housing here, especially in exclusive areas.

I can afford to be a rentcel but I mostly live with my ex so I can be around my daughter daily. When I moved out and rented I was miserable as I didn't see her every day. I don't know how divorced parents can be away from their kids half of the week.

If he bought me out of my share of the house I could buy a condo here in Silicon Valley for $1 million but I'd be on a strict budget and wouldn't be able to go to adventure club activities, 49ers games and Europe regularly as well. As they say, it's "cheaper to keep her". Or him.

But now that daughter is going to college I may buy a condo about 30 minutes away on the beach as it's much less expensive there. I just hope I can work from home then as now they have us back in the office 3 days a week, and that commute would be hell.

Or maybe I would just get a fun job in a beach town.

Yep it sounds brutal but I require:

Proof of income (40x monthly rent p.a), including pay stubs and bank statements where relevant
Good credit history

What are the other landchads here thinking of using this month's rental income on?

I am still considering building an apartment block to finish my passive income plans, but life is so good I am also thinking of doing something like a leave of absence for 4 months straight to go wild with my woman around the world.

Maybe a month in Japan to start.

The day before rent is due falls on a very unique day today. As rentcels send their children off to trick or treat tonight, do they instruct them to also ask folks for spare change so they can make their tips on top of their rent more significant?

Tonight rentards take their kids to the neighborhoods that are all HomeChads, to ensure that it is safe and to get the best candy.

They never want to expose their kids to the creepy people in their building more then they have to.

Probably hoping that the kids can survive on their candy alone until their next check comes in, since they spent everything on rent this check
