Maybe the old dude needed the toilet, rushed to the toilet and was back in a couple of minutes then was met with OP who gave him an attitude and wasn't willing to work with him. Not saying he should have raged like he did but you can tell OP was a bit of a autist to him from the get go.

Why would you interrupt someone else's workout like they are taking tabs on who has what machine? I hate when someone asks me if the bench next to me is being used. I don't know. If they ask if I'm using it, it's a different story, but just wait 10 seconds and see if someone calls it before you sit down if there is any doubt. Don't disturb someone who is not using it.
