I’m not saying he wasn’t killed by a shark but logical answers to the points I’ve raised would be interesting to hear and discuss
I will say about your first point… if you’re swimming in the ocean, and you even see even a nuthair of a dorsal fin for even a fraction of a second in your field of vision, I guarantee you will immediately think shark and every rational thought will go out the window and tell you to move the fuk away.

First point - Difference is the shark in your video is most likely deep under the sea, we can only see him from above due to how clear the water appears. The shark in the video appears to breach the water.
And the fifth rule and most important, work your but off.

The people on the boat were looking towards him.

He was looking and swimming towards the buoy.

The shark swam right under the bouy and braached the surface. It did a barrel roll and showed its white belly. He definitely saw it and immediately noped the fuk out in the other direction. Unfortunately for him an even bigger shark was deeper and headed his way.

People have fallen out of airplanes and survived. One lady has the record.

Fifty years ago, a 23-year-old woman fell 33,333 feet from the sky and survived, making it to the Guinness World Record (GWR) for 'Highest fall survived without parachute'.

The thread goes from a teen winning a Darwin award to misc arguing over sharks vs waves. This is why I misc. I will say this though, even if it is a shark it's pretty uncharacteristic of them to behave that way. Normally sharks don't like the taste of human flesh. If there is blood it might attack especially if there is a smell of fish or seal nearby, but it would leave the body behind after taking a bite. Why would a shark pull down the body with no chunks or blood left behind? There has to be more to the story.
In the majority of recorded attacks, the shark bites the victim, hangs on for a few seconds (possibly dragging the victim through the water or under the surface), and then lets go. It is very rare for a shark to make repeated attacks and actually feed on a human victim. The shark is simply mistaking a human for something it usually eats.Once the shark gets a taste, it realizes that this isn't its usual food, and it lets go.

There's no reasoning with these morons, they're only going to see what they want to see. Every "shark" in the video is clearly just a wave or splash. Anyone so confidently arguing otherwise is only showing the world how utterly stupid they are.

There's video of a shark happily munching on some dude trying to swim away in Australia last year. That crap about them not wanting to eat you is a myth. They're more than happy to eat you if they're hungry. Most of the time they probably aren't real hungry and you don't taste like a fish so they let you go. But if they want to eat you nothing stopping them.

Anyone swimming that close to a moving cruise ship was likely sucked into the propulsion system.

17% chance of survival after falling overboard on a cruise ship.

That's the point, though. You can clearly see a shark tearing someone apart and there's blood everywhere. Where is the blood and body parts in the OP vid? Did they cut it out? As I said, it's odd that the shark pulls him under the water and then... nothing? The body would be in pieces.

Notice how he says it's rare for something like that to happen. That is, it's rare for a shark to tear someone apart and eat them instead of just ignoring them. The whole thing is bizarre if it really was a shark attack. Sharks eat their prey instead of just dragging them away without a trail of blood. If there is blood, then whoever recorded it did a good job at editing out those bits.

Dark out? Far enough away from the boat not to light up the water?

That would make sense to me. One girl does yell out "the current". Could explain how he just suddenly disappears into the night.

With that said, it would make more sense if we were talking about one of those carnival cruise ships. This was just a little booze cruise boat. You think the propulsion system would be that powerful?

Yeah but I'd imagine the sharks that follow ships, follow because in their mind the ship = free and easy meals. So something goes in the water, sharks prey drive kicks in, guy gets eaten. I don't think it's more complicated than that, but either way this whole argument devolved into basically six of one or half a dozen of the other. Either he was eaten by the shark (for the sake of argument) or he drowned. Either way, he ain't comin back.

I mean, i dont really understand this logic man, as its clearly flawed. This isnt a new fuking animal we just discovered 6 years ago. These are sharks, they are the number 1 hunters of the ocean, and we know they are incredibly dangerous to humans especially on waters known to be shark infested. Its pretty damn common sense to not swim around with sharks even if "they dont like the taste of human meat".

Humans dont like the taste of human meat yet im sure you know there are many humans that have consumed human meat before either because of severe hunger or simply mental issues. But we arent talking about humans, we are talking about fuking sharks lol. They are known to eat humans, and we are ****less scared of them for a reason.

Its not like shark attacks are some super rare occurence either.

Although sharks are portrayed by the media as fearsome bloody killers, the most recent five-year global average of shark attacks on humans is 72 annually.

I mean, these ****** swim close to beach and shores and munch australians every year like its a sport, yet we gonna struggle believing some kid that just took a dive to shark infested waters got attacked by one?

Also how do you expect to see blood lol. Its pitch black, itd be hard to see blood even if the video was on plain daylight, since the blood would be underwater and itd would be pretty dark, this isnt a crital clear lake.

About how shark usually hunt, ill admit its not my area of expertise, so hopefully some shark expert, an actual expert give us his two cents on the matter in the following days as id be interested on seeing it, but simply following common sense, i can see how clearly theres a shark at the start of the video, then he swims away from it calmly, probably in shock, probably in pain due to falling into the water which would be painful to begin with, and then something that resembles a shark can be seen surfacing near his lower body, we can hear some screams of pain if we listen carefully enough ("ARGGGGG ARGGGG"), and theres no way you can convince me that splashing around his lower body is just his feet lol, that makes no sense, it would have to be a kick with the force of prime Jean Claude Van Damme, plus theres a second splash in a 90 degree angle direction which wouldnt make sense if it was a kick, im assuming thats the tail of the shark reaching slightly the surface and splashing a bit due to it swimming downwards.

The figure at the start being the rope from the lifesaver is also the worst theory ive seen in years about anything whatsoever so im not even gonna adress that lol, miscers saying that must have zero survival instincts or any common sense whatsoever.

Now im no betting man, but id say the odds of the kid being eaten by a huge ass shark in the video are 95% id say, so im giving myself 5% of doubt. Also, in the video or not, that kid got 100% killed by shark/s
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Damn, you know it's that 5% that is making me think, "so what else could have happened to the teen's body?" The articles say he jumped over board and disappeared not long after, then the cruise ship spent several hours searching for the kid. Maybe the Coast Guard did find his body torn by sharks which is why they instantly stopped searching for him. Lowkey the shark is a dick for not making it clear about its intentions. Brb "Hi, I'm a huge hunter of the seas and I normally don't do this, but today I'm gonna be an ******* and drag this drunk zoomer's body away mysteriously." What kind of bs is that? Maybe I'm too idealistic and like when things make perfect sense, but that is some weird chit, srs. Then again I've seen animals do things on camera that don't make much rational sense from time to time, so who nose? If it was a shark, then it was a shark. In any case, the teen is gone.

EDIT:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...preserver.html

Article saying it might have been sharks and those waters are normally infested with sharks. Sheesh, can't trust any predators anymore. I was reading about this stuff, but sometimes they apparently do weird stuff like that.
The Bahamas is home to a variety of shark species. This included the bull and tiger sharks, two of the most dangerous shark types known to people. In just two weeks in 2019, there were two shark attacks. One of these resulted in the death of a 21-year-old American tourist.

Yeah I've been watching this video for a couple days and although one of the splashes at the end is definitely from his leg kicking there is a second splash moments before he's pulled under. I don't see the shark head coming up (those are the splashes from him swimming) but if you watch the slowed version it's unmistakable that there's an additional splash similar to what a shark attack looks like in the video posted above.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

My theory is that they saw the raw video of this **** and it was clear a shark took him, so they called off the search sooner rather than later.

Its abnormal as **** to call off a search after 2 days. They knew he was dead.

You probably can't survive 2 days in the ocean anyway.

Thinking a shark got him is a good IQ test. If you think it was a shark then congrats - you are a mouth breather who spent too much time watching movies. Similar to dropping a rando in the woods and if he wasnt found thinking a serial killer or bear got him

In reality it's the elements, and they work fast. The kid picked the worst time to do this stunt, if it was during the day then good chance crew gets alerted in time to turn around and find him, and he can have enough visibility to find that floatation device (and he likely isnt drunk).

Alas, odds are he never even saw or found the floatie and the boat drifted away and he just died from the insane currents

this thread is kinda interesting. on one hand its kinda like those posters from maybe 20 years ago where you had to stare at it in a very particular manner and you would see the hidden image beyond the kaleidoscopic graphic designs.

once you see the shark(s) you can't unsee them....thats what's rustling about it...cuz you are trying to point out something you can't unsee to others.

its very very interesting that the ONLY people on Twitter who can't see the sharks are ....drumroll....WOMEN!

So this really exposes the lowIQ miscers. All the misctards who think real life shark attacks are just like on Shark Week with 8 cameras & divers.

Plus it shows these miscers who lack patience as well. Admittedly, if you just watch the video without any scrutiny...its easy to see nothing or explain the shark away. But if you actually have the patience and the open-mindedness.....you WILL see it (the big one not the small one)....DAMN....

if there is any silver lining its at least that kid didn't die a baldcel.
