Anyone who jumped to conclusions with Kavanaugh, which fed into their biases b/c BK was appointed by Trump and conservative, you saw a lot of people just toss out morality and values to condemn him, disgusting names such as "rapey Brett" and when he was later exonerated, they just mumble forward on to the next thing to be outraged about.
I disagree with your advice to chit on anyone, though. Been there, done that. Unhelpful, unproductive and I learned that when you roll in the mud with a pig, you just end up dirty.
Meanwhile, someone like that has brainwashed themselves, painted themselves right into a corner when it comes to how they look at people, instantly writing people off not because of their character but based on political agenda/beliefs. Why sully your own character with a person such as this? I thought to myself months back, I was done attacking people for beliefs, regardless of how far from my own they were, and I'd just fight back against people insulting and rude. That was a half-measure and a failed experiment. While I did find myself getting along or engaging with people more, even ones I could not disagree with more, I rapidly fell into a negative place with the rude people and let myself become a big dick at the same time.
I don't like that and really, why give people power? That's what it is, too, giving power over yourself. Not worth it, imo. Hard disagree on 'chitting' on people, whether they're ignorant, rude, mean, have bad takes, etc... doesn't work for me.

You and I: how hard would it be to say, "yeah I jumped the gun. Shouldn't have. Got caught up with the emotion. I've learned and am better about it now. I do not like how the man presides, but I was wrong to call him rapey" -- Not hard for any grown mature adult, but impossible for someone emotionally stunted and insecure.
Unfortunately, you don't see that maturity with some people, so there is this weird hypocritical disconnect where the same people demanding unproven and later proven wrong allegations against a conservative are true, while defending someone on their team on video touching a child's nipples or a vetted journal from the man's daughter writing about inappropriate showers.

Look up who Rachel Mitchell is in regards to this trial lol.
And girlfriend refused to testify on behalf of Dr. Fraud, because......
A possible witness who Ford said was at the party where Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her said she has no recollection of attending it. CNN reported on Saturday that the Senate Judiciary Committee had reached out to Leland Ingham Keyser, an old friend of Ford’s, this week. In a statement provided to the committee, her lawyer said, “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.”

So, you can bring up the discredited allegations of Ford all day long, you can bring up Dr. Ford's known biases and how even with her own testimony, it didn't add up or prove a single thing. Think that matters to someone emotionally invested and angry about it, though? They just hand wave that away with a "Republicans pushed it through! FBI didn't really actually investigate! My FEELINGS!" kind of response. Just pretend it's impossible someone make this up, as if people like Judy Munro-Leighton did not exist or that nobody Ford claimed witnessed anything backed her up. How many people being raped in High School did you forget about? Yeah, zero for me too -- but again, that's just logical intelligent thinking, not emotionally charged feelings, so it falls on deaf ears for some people.
Anything less than that - well, that involves admissions someone believed unproved allegations and was a biased person, which some people are too weak to admit, maybe even to themselves.

The only details Ford seems to remember are ones that are damaging to Kavanaugh. She remembers what he allegedly did and that he was drunk, and says she had the good judgment to only have one drink. But Ford seemingly does not remember how she got to the party in question, how she got home, where it was or when it was.
Most damaging to her story is the fact that every witness she has named has denied being at the party, under penalty of felony — even her best friend, Leland Keyser. Keyser’s attorney put out a statement saying, “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.”
Ford has struggled to keep her story straight. She refuses to turn over her therapy notes, which she has cited as evidence of the attack even though she says Kavanaugh’s name is not mentioned in them. Ford has given different accounts of when the decades-old party took place. In a text message to The Washington Post she said it happened in the “mid 1980s.” A July 30 letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), ranking member of the committee, stated “early ’80s.” However, she somehow narrowed it down to the summer of 1982 in a Sept. 16 Washington Post article. As Mitchell notes in her memo, Ford has not explained how she was able to do that.
The Washington Post also reported that her notes from a 2013 individual therapy session state the event happened in her late teens, but now she is saying she was 15. Ford’s story about how many people were at the party also has shifted greatly. Her therapist’s notes from 2012 reportedly say there were four attackers, but the Post reported four boys at the party and two attackers. In her polygraph letter alone she gives two different accounts, originally writing four people and then crossing that off to write four boys and two girls.
Even if you want to give Ford the benefit of the doubt that her memory is just cloudy after 36 years, her failure to recall recent events is very troubling. Ford testified that she does not remember whether she showed The Washington Post her therapy notes or if she summarized them. The Washington Post reported that Ford provided portions of the notes to them.
Oddly, Ford could not remember if she took the polygraph test on the same day as her grandmother’s funeral or after. She couldn’t remember who paid for it or if it was audio- or video-recorded.Ford also testified that her memories surfaced during a fight with her husband over installing a second door during home renovations; she said she needed another exit because of the trauma she experienced. However, it has been reported that the door was installed years before as a separate entrance for a room they rented out to people and a marriage-counseling business.
Ford and her attorneys have cited her fear of flying to the Senate Judiciary Committee to delay the originally scheduled hearing. Yet she admitted under oath that she flies to the East Coast yearly and has been to Hawaii, Costa Rica and French Polynesia. That delay bought enough time for two other accusers to step forward with their alleged stories against Kavanaugh. And even though it was widely reported that Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) offered to send staff to her home state of California, she said she was unaware of his offer.
In a sworn affidavit, a longtime ex-boyfriend contradicted a number of the claims that Ford has made.Under penalty of felony, he testified that he witnessed her coach a friend on how to pass a polygraph examination. When asked under oath if she had ever prepared for a polygraph, she replied: “Never.” He also wrote that she never mentioned Kavanaugh or indicated that she was afraid of flying

Edit: And no matter how JUSA tries to spin this, the Republicans pushed Kavanaugh through - regardless of the testimony under oath. Just like when they put their party over the country when they protected Trump from removal from office twice.

No evidence required and all evidence to the contrary to be ignored of course.
Enough to prove that Kav attempted rape. There for any one saying that it was a hit job by pro-abortion activists (whom Ford was) is a tin foil hat wearing loon. Never mind that she waited 20+ year to come forward. Completely reliable. How dare you question her.

And on, and on...
Tell the truth Pat. All it takes for you is an accusation, isn't it... Guilty until proven innocent - and the accused is STILL guilty "just because."
Isn't that right.

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.
