Boyo I'm not desperate about anything. When you've cheated death enough times you realize life is a gift and you just day to day.

I would hope they're taking the extra year to redo the plot and reshoot after reactions to Rachel Zegler crapping on the original and revealing that Snow Woke will be a girl boss who don't need no man were the worst reactions to any upcoming film in the history of cinema. Hopefully they're redoing half of the film and her dumbass comments make them take it in a completely different direction. If they're keeping the movie the way Zegler described it, it will be the mother of all bombs. If they took notice and are changing gears it will save them hundreds of millions of dollars even if they have to spend many millions more to redo a lot of the movie.

Btw, time is as important as money. If you invest something for a year, you expect a return based on the time. If you invest the same money over 3+ years, you expect more and compounded over time. My point? Shelving and reshooting train wrecks, like Snow White, isn't just costing more money, it's also costing more time.

I have no idea what returns movie studios shoot for with their investments, it's risky as fuk so you would expect a high return to make it worthwhile. Well, pushing a project out a year - that's just one more year of compounding returns *better* you need to do, if you want to hit your goal.

Btw, the cost of a single episode of She-Hulk cost more than the entire budget of Godzilla Minus One... by a hefty margin at that.

We're all here (mostly) agreeing about the dismal likely over 1B loss Disney got handed in 2023 for it's movies. Real quick... what were the budgets of their Disney+ shows?

Which, seems like in 2023 they averaged 150million world wide. Gross $$$, that honestly looks ****ing impressive if it's anything close to $10 an account. Which, I checked, it can not be - the overall revenue was 8.4Billion for the year.

This... this is not good. It looks like the #s are stabilizing for them, if not dropping off. If they peaked and the reports that it'slosingmoney (somehow, with 8.4 billion revenue still losing money??), then growth is their only option. Looks like they peaked at the end of 2022, though.

I have a better handle on their movies than this steaming market or how things work there. Is it that expensive to setup streaming that you lose money with that kind of massive revenue? What are the costs associated with this that are killing them, are there things that they'll grow out of and won't have to worry about as much moving forward? If not, they could be very ****ed.

Looks like Disney’s corruption and evil is going to set a precedence for the woke agenda. Once it gets litigated, the cases will show people that they can fight against all wokeness and first amendment violations.
