Apparently the unaccounted people were construction workers fixing pot holes. Tradies taking another L.

On that same road 695, several construction workers were killed when a car went through work zone. 695 is the tradie killer. Fuark

Personnel on the ship alerted the Maryland Department of Transportation that they lost control of the vessel, and officials were able to close the bridge before it was struck, "which undoubtedly saved lives," President Joe Biden told reporters.

Six people remain unaccounted for as the desperate search continues at the site of the bridge collapse, Coast Guard officials said at a Tuesday morning news conference.

Two were rescued, including one who was hospitalized and later discharged, officials said. Construction workers were on the bridge working on potholes at the time of the collapse, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said.

I remember that one too. 695 is a rough beltway. Speed limit is 55 but if you go 75 you're getting rear ended. Plus it runs through trailer park areas and legit ghettos, so a lot of the cars don't give a fuk if they hit you for fender benders. I think 6 died then? Two of them were a father and son working on the same crew.

Crazy man… same chit happened to the Skyway bridge in tampa back in the 80s… a greyhound bus drove off of it along with several cars because of heavy fog. When they rebuilt, they put huge protective areas around the support structure so ships cant hit it again. I literally just drove across the skyway friday and told the wifey about the collapse back in the 80s. I have also driven across the fancis before and its equally as terrifying to think of it collapsing. Fuker is super high to accommodate the big ships. RIP to the folks who perished.

You can't drive any of the major highways in Baltimore without almost getting run off the road by some silver/black Acura nog-mobile trying to get two car-lengths ahead of you in rush hour traffic.
