the way to get positive expected-value from accumulators is to always take advantage of the bookmakers offers on them, e.g. place a 5-fold, get your money back if only 1 leg loses. bookies realise this and actually stake-restrict you after a while for taking too much value, therefore use higher odds and accept the variance and only use well-known teams, no betting on random football in indonesia just because you like the odds/timing. (after a while you'll want to place these random bets just to get more acca's in-play)

i'm assuming bookies still do acca-offers in other countries, here in the UK most of the well-known ones do.

No Limit Texas Holdem player here, low stakes only. $5 buy in games online and $500 buy ins ($2/$3 blinds) live. I'm a winner but not crushing the games.

Rake is absolutely stratospheric in Australia, we pay 10% up to $10 plus a $5 hourly time charge. Logged 400+ hours in the casino, proud to say I've given the casino exactly $2 that was not a direct cost of playing poker and that was for a coffee when I was severely hungover.

Obviously some of my family think I'm a gambling degenerate because I go to the casino every couple of weeks. Like I say, it's not a problem if you're winning.

Also BTW poker is a hard way to make money. I take in a few bucks an hour by being extremely patient and disciplined, meanwhile I watch actual degenerates torch off several hundos an hour. Very easy to lose money, very hard to take it in.

Yeah I've gambled for years on 5dimes but I want something more legit. Hector and Juan can runaway with your money at any given time. And if it's legit it's easier to do taxes because they send you the taxes paperwork. And if you are in the USA and are gambling and aren't doing taxes on it, then prepare your angus if the IRS ever catches you. Just a warning.
