I never thought I would be proud that I met my wife in a bar.
do not read my posts and weep, i am not there i do not sleep
i am the thousand greens that rep, i am the ban bet dutifully kept
of memes and trolls in toasted breads, i am not there, i am not dead.

I have had a lot of success with online dating. Yes, girls have flaked on me but I've met upwards of 50 girls over the few years I used the apps. Some of these became lasting friends, flings, FWBs, etc. I have a gf now that I met on Bumble and have never been happier in a relationship in my life. She's not some loser who can't get a date. She's 27, makes well over 100k, is very attractive, smart, and kind. I've gone on dates with surgeons, executives, business owners. Online dating is modern dating--its just a bigger pool of people to choose from than you'll run into at the office, gym, or bar. There are obviously weirdos but there are also women who are smart, emotionally stable, and attractive.

I really think the people saying 'online dating is for losers' are coping for the fact that they haven't had success with it or haven't tried it. People have a tendency to overvalue themselves in the dating pool and online dating forces you to accept the fact that a lot of people aren't interested in you. This hurts some people's feelings but the truth is you'll be better suited to find someone and value them once you have a better understanding of your realistic options.

What about the people who are ALWAYS on the dating apps? I've legit seen women on there for 6 months and even the photos remain the same (bots?). Are they either picky AF or are they banging a new guy twice a week?

As for non-hookup material I don't think they exist on online dating. There's a school / job section on Tinder and almost everyone seems to be uneducated / no real job to speak of. Maybe the quality is better in downtown New York...

Probably either picky or not actively using it. Plus the sites don't always hide/take down your profile when you ask them to.

I know two girls who deleted their profile have them not actually get taken down but moved down the list.

Online dating apps are cesspools of incels, desperate people or even worse people on the rebound trying to fukc everything decent just to forget their recent break-up.

You deserve more than that : Put your social life back on track and put yourself out there, lot of quality men to be met outside, you just need to trigger your meeting.

-Just because you know SOME people who have had bad experiences doesn't mean you should spit their vitriol

I have met/found:
-Found a 2 year relationship online
-A flat earther crazy as fook bish (made a thread about it)
-Poly girls wanting a man to satisfy their dink needs
-29 year old with 7 kids, a dead father of 5 of the kids, and ex husband who beat her father of the other 2 kids

There are some wicked people out there.....really truly wicked......but isnt that what life is about?

-Find new people for friends, weed out the bad, weed out the untrustwortly
-Find a new job, work it, see if its a good fit, if not find antoher
-Find a relationship, figure each other out, see if its a good fit

Whats so different from filling out app's online for a job than being on a dating site? You're there to see if you can find a diamond in the rough.
Why are you assuming the reason I think online dating is a joke is because I've been treated badly? You have no idea what I look like or who I am as a person. I met approx 30 guys from online dating in a short span of time. I think my total time spent online may be 3-4 months total, broken up over about a year because I'd take breaks. Guess how many of those 30 didn't ask to see me again? 2.

As for the amount of people I know that have had no luck finding relationships online, I don't have time to figure out a hard number for you, but it's a lot of people. I have no reason to lie or exaggerate. If people want to online date have at it, just understand and accept the pitfalls.

I will go to bars and clubs to meet women or to take the girl I'm with dancing. I don't drink.
That doesn't stop me from going out.
I know it doesn't always mean they're a bar rat but I'm not going to go do something I have no interest in doing (hanging out in bars a lot) in hopes of trying to find that 1 particular guy who isn't one. I do go out occasionally so if I happen to meet someone I'm attracted to I may give my number but I don't go there looking to meet anyone. I just want to get my groove on and go home alone. Def not looking to leave with a random.
