He is constantly conflicted with the dark and the light, which would be difficult like it was for Vader. Hell, even Vader cried after the slaughter on Mustafar, before facing Obi-Wan.

When he realized he had lost his chance to defeat the rebels and watched Rey close the door on him, he was truly alone in that moment. All of this was lead by Luke Skywalker failing him by attempting to cut him down in his sleep. He was failed by his master. And again, Snoke made a mockery of him when he was speaking to Rey and of his plans. This is also why he probably resented his mother and father for sending him to that temple to begin with. He's been abandoned by everyone. You also have to remember that he is young and without any kind of guidance. Now he refuses to trust anyone.

The dark side of the force isn't just meant to be this single dimensional thing where you are just a serial killer and want to rule everything. It's a lonely thing to be, and is driven by your inner hatred and insecurities.

Kylo's character depth is phenomenal.
Let's not confuse the character with the actor and lets just say that Adam Driver looks like a bitch and would rather have someone else cast in that role.

One of the main storylines involves the female lead being under the tutelage of a white man.

To be fair I haven't seen the movie but OP is most likely partaking in typical conservative fear mongering.

imagine if they had some ugly mofo as Darth Maul or made a gay looking mask for Vader

fukking lol, would Vader be half as iconic if he had no helmet and looked like this mofo

Yeah, OK.

In the original trilogy Leia stands up to Vader like a boss while all the male characters quiver in fear in his presence. She also strangles Jabba the Hutt to death with her own bare hands. Nobody had a problem with this because it wasn't shoveled into your face ad-nausem. Now we have to pretend like the original trilogy wasn't "empowering enough" (complete BS) so that they can push their obvious agendas, the story itself takes the back seat (that is the revolving theme of Hollywood today: you build your movie around whatever political message you want to push, instead of using the story to subtly hint some sort of deeper relateable message).

Even Mark Hammel knows this **** is trash, and he's been hilariously open about it.

Braindead conservatives think the whole world is stacked against them, and that the left is here to destroy everything that they love.

Just imagine a guy wearing a tinfoil hat in a trailer listening for aliens in space. That's basically everyone in here.

Your minds are too closed to even watch and enjoy a fantasy movie without your insecurities getting triggered.
Stick to WWE wrestling instead. 100% real, male majority, plenty of ass grabbing without all them triggers.

Exactly THIS! It's not about being sexist or patriarchal, but its about political message completely washing out the plot. There's no subtlety.

Luke doesn't train her.
She just swings that saber around in the air and does some breathing exercises for like a few hours then has Force Facetime with kylo.
Yoda confirms she doesn't need training because she's just that ****ing good. No explanation.

Did you stand up in the middle of the movie and cry out “BLASPHEMY!!!” then run out of the movie theater crying?

Because that would have made you feel better.
You should write a letter...this movie obviously caused severe emotional trauma, perhaps PTSD. Possible lawsuit for you buddy.

Here’s how to solve this problem:

Don’t watch these washed up, retarded fantasy movies that should only appeal to 12 year olds with extreme ADHD.

Star Wars along with all these comic hero movies need to die a quick death. They won’t though, because Hollywood knows they can peddle their agendas to the low IQ masses through these chit movies

I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but that's what I see as an outsider looking in. TheyThe new movies are entertaining, absolutely, but my point is they're simply not what George Lucas originally created them to be; George has even said this himself. The Star Wars of our dads' generation is gone, bros.

Harrison was the smart one, wanting to be killed off early. Better to die in flames than fade into irrelevancy.
Spoilers ahead....

They should have kept Luke until the next movie and die fighting in a badass duel with snookie, instead we got Leia for another movie... even though Carrie is gone.... and they killed of snug in a pretty pathetic way.

gonna watch it tomorrow, WTF they killed snoke lmfao i thought he was going be the big bad for the whole trilogy. like hte other poster said, all these theories about his origin. They have no idea wtf they are doing. I was hoping this movie to be like empire strikes back, movie that will introduce new aliens, new planets, new stories, etc. etc. Everbody hates the prequels but they created that cinematic world like no other. battles of kashyk, utapatu, kamino, geonosis, mustafar, felucia. etc. etc. clone army vs droid army was dopeeee.

Lol at the legit complaints about the movie and all that you ****s pick up is "they're scared of strong female leads"

Either way, star wars isn't for our generation. It's for the younger generation. Also, apparently 7,8,9 wasn't planned forget. When the director picked up 8, there was no set path he could go. He posted it on Twitter. Also, because of that, he killed the only things that would make 9 interesting, snook and luke

Disney is more concerned with appealing to modern tastes, loaded with CGI, bad writing, and at times horribly cringey acting. Luke wasn't black, he wasn't gay, and he wasn't a woman. He couldn't last long without the liberal credentials.

Better to die in flames than fade into irrelevancy.
half the audience hates the movie though

I’m seriously wondering how it has a 93% on rotten tomatoes. Why is it that the audience review score is almost ALWAYS more accurate than the “critics”? Are they paid off?
I admit all my threads suck :(
