Since August. I've been going once a week, sometimes twice a week. I'm gonna kick it up to twice a week minimum and then every other day if I join a climbing gym.

Tires on each?

4WD is good for not getting stuck...doesn't help you turn or stop

Well, doesn't help you turn as much as you might think. It will help. Mostly, it won't help you stop

That Z28 I used to have...drag radials rear and performance tires front, on over Spring break...dedicated snow tires on over Thanksgiving. Rinse and repeat. Best decision ever.

This. I've gotten stuck once, at very low speed, in my GTI. I just take it easy and dont try and do too much. That time i got stuck was leaving a parking lot and it was a transition from a curb to the road and the snow was deeper than expected. Had to get some help digging out a tire and made it. The ride home from the ski resort a few weeks ago was horrible, but it was mostly due to the horrible tires and the roads being mostly packed/slick.

Now, it is a fun little car to grab the e brake on and get into places. LOL. It's so evenly weighted you can usually get it in/out of control pretty smoothly. Within reason...

I put snow tires on the AWD Escape that the kids drive . . . thing was really pretty good in the snow with the all-seasons it had. With the snow tires, it's a freaking beast. The other day when we had snow & ice, I took my daughter up to the high school with it so she could drive around and get the feel of it. Tried to have her do some things to get it to slide/skid a bit and it really wasn't even doing it much at all without having to have her go a lot faster than I wanted at this point.

Had 92 toyota pickup while in VA. Had slight suspension/body lift and 33s. It was the same, almost boring to drive the one or 2 times it made it out in a snowstorm prior to anything getting cleared. But the thing with it was that things happened so "slow" in it you had time to learn and figure out how a car reacted with low traction.

My first car is what you might call a Jesse Pinkman car. 1986 Toyota Tercell. Wagon, 4WD. THAT was a best. I drove right through snow drifts and plow piles up to the top of the hood regularly. It only had like 80 horsepower and a 3 speed trans though lol. Silver/blue. We had a blizzard of the century once, no electricity for 6.5 days (I wasn't old enough to drive yet it was my dad's car), it drove through snow that most trucks got stuck in. No idea how that worked but it did

So my dad picked me up a starter safe for xmas.

Issue is I live on a second floor apartment and it's 525lbs. I wouldn't consider any of us weak by any means but that is far heavier than anything I've ever taken up a flight of stairs.

4 dudes and a heavy duty dolly enough or should I said **** it and hire a moving crew?

That's going to be a bit of a bitch.

4 legit guys and a good dolly should be enough, if you can fit the 4 guys into the stairwell to all help at once lol

I'm watching the doc "Dope" on Netflix.

Mexican weed farmer sells 30kg of marijuana for $900. That is apparently sold for $33,000 in America.

Michelin Alpin PA4's on the STI. Limited slip front and rear. The only thing that would stop that car in the snow is if I was stupid and high centered it on a snow bank or something.

Regardless, tire choice is everything. I had a 15' Mustang GT before this car and drove it all winter blizzards and all with a set of blizzaks and a little common sense.

I think 2 people with a dolley would be sufficient. I moved my safe into house and up the stairs with just my brother. No dolley. Laid that safe flat on the stairs and slid it up by pushing on the bottom while brother guided it up while being st the top.
