ITT people have no concept of being unable to swim. They would drown in a wide open swimming pool nevermind wiggling through no visibility tight caves.

They must've, easier when there's no water and those kids are tiny enough to fit through it..they went into the main entrance before the rain and as they were on their way back they noticed the floods were coming in which made them turn around and go deeper into the cave to avoid the water so might've been forced to squeeze through.

People ITT seems to think that all they need to do is swim swim the pristine and clear tropical water. No This is a muddy cave system. Visibility will be 0. SEALS train months to do this.

Apparently the coach is a Buddhist monk and was the only one that didn't eat or drink anything over the 9 days before they were found as he gave it all to the kids.

If they are getting internet down there they can watch YouTube tutorial videos on cave diving and become super good way before oct. u can pretty much learn anything on YouTube

If there was another entrance do you think the divers might use it instead of wiggling thru the hole?

Not clear if they passed it before or after they were cut off by the water, but they are on the other side of it now.

Humans don’t have many practical applications and uses for machinery/tech that works underwater in tight crevices WHILE simultaneously pulling off rescues. most underwater good tech **** humans have is for big open space underwater like offshore rigs different ballgame broski. Dig is only practical option for rescue

There goes the option of training them and fitting them with tanks to make it the 2 hour trek out by diving in blind water. They either wait for flooding to go down or dig them out. Really no idea which one is more practical.

i would think engineers around the world would be able to think of an efficient way to dig/excavate them out of there, looking at the image it says it's only half a mile below surface.

phukken lmao @ only half a mile below surface. Do you know how difficult it is to get a machine big enough to dig that deep, get rid of the excess dirt and pull the machine back up while having all the calculations necessary to avoid filling the cave with a million tons of soil & rocks.

I couldn't imagine being stuck in a small cave with a bunch of other people AND a bunch of waste sitting in the corner just.... fermenting. It's got to be hot and wet as hell in there. I imagine it'd be like taking a log that you just dropped in the toilet and putting it in a frying pan on very low heat while keeping it saturated so it doesn't dry up.

Digging down where they are could potentially cause a collapse, so how about dig down away from their tunnel, make a somewhat decent sized hole that's reinforced, and then connect the manmade hole to theirs. I don't know jack **** about caves, so this is probably the dumbest thing anyone has said in this thread.

They can actually film a comprehensive briefing tutorial complete with camera footage of the journey they will take with Thái instructions in detail showing them based on the camera footage and 3D diagrams on laptops to drill what they will do.

In b4 they can’t comprehend what they see on the screen...

I used to think you were just trolling but you are a full blown retard. I’d love to see 10 random kids from anywhere dive underwater for 2+ hours with no vision or movement. A fukkin diver died with the waters low from being pumped.

No they aren’t underwater for two hours there’s various stages in the cave with ups and downs which are flooded. Read the article before you say more dumb stuff. This isn’t one long underwater cave length from Tomb raider or something...

Just watched a video where a British Cave Rescue guy explains what might be the only way to bring them out. Basically, have a full face mask and an air bottle, diver's gag, and clamp his ankles together. Have a diver in front of him hold the gag in place and have someone else pull him out with a rope while another diver behind him pushes him out. He then goes on to say that it was done before in a much less challenging cave.

They were just saying on the news about the Thai navy diver who has died after him running out of oxygen and how it's a "5 hour swim"?

They've also said the pumps have got the water down 40% in the cavern the kids are in.

I've seen the monsoon rains in Thailand and they are no joke. If they come on the weekend as predicted then that's the pumping fuced.

If they're worried about the kids panicking would it feasible to knock them unconscious with some gas and strap the breathing gear to them and just drag them out?
