In my head this was going to be much easier, but it isn't like the movies at all. Just feels like I'm dead but still walking around.
Sorry bro.....its life on heavy mode for awhile. Give it a year and you will be all good.
Concentrate on you....use that emotion that you have brewing and point it towards something productive
Getting on a strict gym regimen is a great way to relieve some emotional stress

According to your responses on the first page, you have a good head on your shoulders. You will be fine man.

On the assumption this is real...

I tend to (over) analyze everything. If I was in your situation, I would be desperately trying to figure out when it started, when and where she was meeting up with him to fuk and how I missed any signs.

I probably would be interrogating the hell out of the surgeon's wife as a start.

The only way to bring closure for me would be to figure out exactly what happened.

I started down this road, but it just seems like self torture that won't change anything. I'm randomly remembering all the times she supposedly had to work late or went to visit a friend or whatever. Probably all bs.

Messed up thread. Regardless of your thoughts on marriage, cheating is such a disgusting and selfish act, especially in a long time relationship. No idea if troll or not, but hope you get through it OP if not. Getting mad at OP over no marriage crew makes no sense. Regardless, I would hope he had communicated those intentions so she was aware of their future together.

Easy to get bitter but be glad you found out and didn't get financially wrecked.

Nah bruh. Never trust no ho.
My 2nd wife left me on some shiit. The story is as followed. I was at work and I knew some shiit with my girl has been weird lately. She hasnt really been affectionate and she ain't putting down anymore. I was fuking confused. Every Tuesday, this bitch makes some bomb ass wings with some Franks red hot and some homemade ranch. It was our thing. I come home and this bitch didn't make the god damn wings. Now I know this ho is tricking. I hit up my homie P to do some surveillance. He down as fcuk. 9:26 p.m. that homie P calls and say that he just saw this bitch at 7/11 buying some Pringles and an Arnold Palmer. Suspect as fcuk. I asked what flavor chips? He said original. Bitch straight playing bro. Everyone knows hos only eat salt and vinegar. I told him to follow and let me know where they at.
He hits me and they at motel 7 on 22nd and King. She goes into room 72 and P and I wait a minute so we can catch her in the act. We end up going to the front desk and ask for a spare key because we locked out. Since we black and front desk girl was white, she gave it assuming I was this nigah Lavant. shiitss trash. Go to the room with P and we bust in to see my bitch gobbling cock like she bobbin for apples. This homie Lavant and her making eye contact with me but she ain't stop bobbin. Disrespectful.
I start yelling at her and she say bich like fuk you and your Tuesday wing ass bitch. That hurt because I thought that was an us thing even tho I just ate the wings and never cooked them. That homie Lavant lightweight swole and he get up and ask who the fcuk am I. I let him know i fuks with that busted bich. You fcking my Bitch so move on it then.
He wasnt havin none of that. He tell me he gonna fix my broken ass and then take my girl to penetration station. This niiigga clever as fcuk. We square up and this homie butt ass naked. He beats my fcuking ass. I don't think I even got a lick in. Homie stomped my face. My homie P cut to the hut because he wasn't having none of that shiit
I'm straight leaking on the ground broken as fcuk. My girl laughing as he ready to smash. He fcuk my girl with me bloodied on the floor. Lightweight not even mad tho because he actually was better at sex tho. When they finished after an hour, he threw me a towel and lectured me on why all this happened. Lavant a straight up cat tho. After it was all said and done, we talked sports and he sold me a rainbow vacuum. shiit don't work for 500$ but how you gonna say no to someone who just beat your ass in his bare ass and then fcuked your girls ass. Nah best investment I've made.
We divorced two years later because I just got tired of having Lavant around my house not doing shiit. They got to keep the house but at least I got my pride fam.

didnt read whole thread but here is my observation:

9 years without commitment may very well have been the reason for her straying, however, it does not excuse her cheating. she should have just broke it off without trying to ruin another marriage

He may have money/prestige, but he can't replace all the good memories OP and his ex have had. He has likely been there for her many times, while the surgeon couldn't give less of a ****.
I disagree.

The level of narcissism and self-entitlement she displayed doesn't make me think she's looking at this situation and correctly analyzing her own behavior. Most people do a poor job of being self-aware, but in this case I am quite certain she is assigning the blame of this to everyone but herself. She's angry with the surgeon for not taking her in. She's mad at the wife for exposing her. She's mad at the OP for not being rich or marrying her. She isn't looking at this and thinking she screwed over anyone - she thinks SHE is the one who got screwed over, I am 99% certain.

If the OP were to sit down with her and do a post-mortem of the relationship, yeah she might say she's sorry to begin the conversation but I can promise you by the end of it, she would be laying the blame of everything on the OP. Which is a good reason to just cut contact with her. You're not likely to get the sincere apology you want and deserve from a person like this. She's a selfish Me-Only bitch, so do what you're doing, move on, don't worry about her, sounds like she's in her early 30s now, maybe she can find someone to lock down but she's probably upset with the OP for "wasting" 9 years of her life, as if it's HIS fault, not hers for being dishonest and cheating with zero regard to cheating on the OP or wasting his time as well.

Fuk her and you're a fool if you honestly think she is reasonably analyzing this situation and accepting ownership of her role here. Idiotic. Completely and totally moronic to even think for a second, much less actually post as legit advice of this.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

This. Women NEVER admit fault when cheating in the real world, I don't care what people online say. She is making a million excuses right now and they all lay the blame at the feet of OP,guaranteed, and she has friends and family and white knights who all buy her bullsht.

Yeah I don't know what to make of it. Realistically I have no idea who this person is anymore. Just not someone I could ever trust or want to be with after something like that.

She seems so regretful and sincere now, but how could anyone with a shred of decency do that to their partner?

a friend's brother many years ago had the same thing happen with his gf of 4 years. lmaoooooo

in these situations, you're both single people who decided to shack up with each other. No need to have feelings hurt. When you're in this arrangement, do either of you dream of growing old together? srs

What fault of that is mine? I have always said that in the right circumstances, pretty much every female will cheat. It's biological. We talk ourselves into thinking that our relationships are different, but they rarely are.

He's not going to leave his wife for her. The wife will stay with him for the surgeon income, I'm sure.

Even if the wife does leave him, he won't get with her. 95% of affairs fail after the divorce.

This happened to a friend of mine, although he shot the guy who cheated with his wife, and then killed himself.

They left 6 kids without fathers. It was so sad to attend 2 funerals in one week, as I knew both of them from high school. Fuarrrk....

The sloot who caused all of this had affairs with married men nonstop. Now she's living with some dumb attorney and she still doesn't have to work and has the 2 kids.

Either way thread probably roll bread
I mean what's the problem with this? You guys and your "no marriage" **** is going to push some women away. You oughtta know this by now.

Marriage, whether you like it or not, is important to some women. It means security and is a way to confirm that you are ready and willing to have a family with her. You want to keep the title of marriage out of your life? Expect that some women will take the opportunity to leave you for security. I'm not saying it's all good and well that this is how life works, but it is what it is.

And just because you're both upfront about "i don't want to be married" doesn't mean that **** may change in the future. Women see their friends running off, getting married, and all of a sudden age 30 rolls up on them and they're with the guy who doesn't want to be married. Well, she decided she doesn't want to be the 30+ year old with a boyfriend anymore.

The sloot who caused all of this had affairs with married men nonstop. Now she's living with some dumb attorney and she still doesn't have to work and has the 2 kids.
Sounds like everyone won

Starting to? Dude the genie has been out of the bottle for years.

There’s only 2 things you can do to ensure you never get screwed. Don’t marry, and don’t have kids. That way, they’ll never have leverage over you.

Here's what's really happening:
- Said girl is likely shocked/dumbfounded/embarrassed right now, and is trying to process what just happened. She hasn't realized the full scope and implications of her actions. She, no doubt, feels bad, and probably regrets her decision. She is slowly realizing that losing the security and comfort of a 9 year relationship for a quick fling with another male isn't worth it. He may have money/prestige, but he can't replace all the good memories OP and his ex have had. He has likely been there for her many times, while the surgeon couldn't give less of a ****.
HA. You clearly have no clue about how the vast majority of women think.

It's gonna get worse before it gets better. From my experience it took a couple of weeks to fully process what had happened and there were a few ups and downs from there.9 years is a lot man, it's probably gonna take 6-12 months depending on your personality.

Well, she decided she doesn't want to be the 30+ year old with a boyfriend anymore.
. This for all young *******s out there,. Any woman worth something desires security, don't understand?
