I believe Marvel failed to give the deserving end to Hulk and Thor. I honestly believed all the hype from IW by thinking Thor and Hulk were going to play a key role in taking Thanos... and boy I was wrong. I lost count how many times I thought Hulk was gonna level the playing field and nope, nothing. However, my biggest disappointment was with Thor. Out of all of the OG characters, Thor is arguably the one who has shown the most development, as he has lost the most, sacrificed the most, and improved the most.

Yet, in this movie, he is portrayed weaker than Hawkeye. IW war Thor would have had no problem dealing with Thanos or at least holding his own. Marvel basically castrated him. They should have just killed him off, as it was beyond embarrassing what they did to the character. Thor Ragnarok and IW had set him up to be Thor the "All Father" and instead, he ended up as a fat fuk for pure comical relief. They could have picked any other side character to achieve that kind of "comedy". Why did they even put Thor through his journey of obtaining Storm Break? Oh and then he just gave Asgard up, as if he was giving up "social media" for lent. What a joke, I find it a total disrespect to the character and Chris Hemsworth.

In addition, the inconsistency of characters powers is too damn high! One second CPT Marvel is destroying Thano's ship single-handedly with no effort, then the second after Thanos just KO's her with a swift punch.

Spoiler!
they castrated thor so captain marvel could be useful, i did laugh at fat thor, but i would have preferred to have strong hulk and strong thor and no captain marvel. Thor could have saved stark in space too.

I guess they gave Antman a bigger role cuz in the original Avengers comics, Antman was one of the founding fathers(though not that particular Antman).

Anyway, Marvel said they wont announce future plans til after SPIDEY: HOMECOMING. I am excited for the next Dr. Strange movie, Black Panther, I dont mind. Not too thrilled about Capt Marvel 2. What really excites me is when they bring X-Men to the MCU, and F4. Im just sad we didnt get to see Avengers vs. X-Men with the original Avengers characters. It will probably be Phoenix/Rogue vs Capt Marvel on the forefront. Panther vs. Wolverine.

The scene with his mom was good. Dark world imo was the worst MCU movie, but this really did bring it back into the fold.
I think when he saw Cap using his hammer he realized that someone else could be worthy. I think that is the pivotal moment when he knew he didn't have to be king and decided to give away Asgard

Hulk:
Spoiler!

He was funny but the character just doesn't fit too well. Relaxed smart Hulk is just not my thing.
Yeah he didn't Hulk out, but he used the gauntlet and torched his arm, coupled with the Professor Hulk arc it makes sense that he wasn't in the fray.

Widow
Spoiler!

Didn't care that she died. It was fitting to her character though. She spent 5 years waiting to die.

Cap
Spoiler!

He gave the sacrifice all the way back in Cap 1 to never be with Peggy Carter. That was his entire arc and the ending was absolutely fitting that he got a second chance.

Other random thoughts:
Spoiler!
-Loki escaped, so he could very well be alive
-"Cap, on your left" is the culmination of 10 years of MCU. On the brink of losing a second time....the fact that that happened, we will never see anything like that in cinema history again
-"I...am...Ironman" is Stark finally letting go of himself and following his father's advice/warning of putting the greater good before self indulgence. That was the only way to end the Stark storyline
-Glad Capt Marvel got her ass beat. Stupid kunt thinking she is all powerful got her ass handed to her
Spoiler!
agreed on all points, about loki good point, i hear disney is working on a loki series for their streaming service

If Thor wasnt fat, he could have easily beaten Thanos, or hammer smash/flew towards the time machine to deliver the gauntlet. So big plot hole. That is why they gave Strange the role to handle the overflowing water. I bet Thanos couldve easily beaten Capt. Marvel if he was well rested, but remember, it was during the end of the fight, he fought a lot already at that time, esp against Wanda, Thor, Cap.

Anyway I guess it is safe we wont use spoiler tags anymore?

Good point about antman and the comics. Wait they are casting for wolverine? If xmen including deadpool and ff4 get included in the next big battle against abraxis or someone. I would say galactus but ff in a way ruined that villain with that movie.

nobody even remembers that movie outside of comic fans. I mean Fantastic Four were never popular in mainstream media to begin with until Marvel reboots them

No news about X-Men casting, but they should if they are smart. Maybe Annihilus would be awesome!

loved the movie, but not gonna pretend there was less SJW agendas than Starwars

brb.

Spoiler!

Cap, Thor and Ironman cant get close to beating thanos but..

1. Scarlet Witch is stronker than Thanos. Thanos needed support fire
2. Cap marvel stronker than Thanos. Thanos needed power gem.
3. Hulk not allowed to hulk out because he represents toxic masculinity.
4. Cap America goes bbc.
5. Women unite for Bruckheimer strut.

Great movie. 8.5/10

Only have a few nitpicks

- Captain Marvel was meh
- Girl power scene was a bit corny, but it is a superhero film after all. I'm sure little girls saw the scene differently
- Wish the final battle was longer
- First act was a bit long

Other than that, I loved it
- Ant Man was hilarious
- Cap wielding Mjolnir
- The portals assembling and everyone showing up filled em with feels
- I almost teared up at the dance in the end, and I'm not a romance movie guy
- Master Splinter saved the universe
- Tony hugging his dad

Just full of fan service. Great way to end the sage.
I'm back, bitches!

EDIT:

Also, people saying that Thors' character was ruined or ignored his character arc,

I kinda disagree. The whole point is that Thor had accepted the responsibility of being a leader to his people, and a savior to others, but what he couldn't handle was the fact that he failed in getting to Thanos in time in IW.

Basically, he was tearing himself up over his own failures.

IMO that's ALSO why he handed over the rule of Asgard - he realized that he couldn't handle failure well enough to be a great leader.

Anyways, the real fun is that Loki is now still alive and still a villain as he hasn't gone through his redemption arc due to their time travel fukkery
I understand what Marvel tried to do with Thor, but everything about him in the movie is so against his character. You mean to tell me that Thor God of Thunder, who has been a Warrior for thousands of years, has been the defender of the 9 realms along with his father Odin, all of the sudden lays down and rot? I think it would have been fine if he was fat and then after visiting his mother in the past, she would have motivated him to rise yet again and become Thor the All-father. But nope, capt American who is a human seemed physically stronger than him.

You probably won't agree with me, but I think the character had so much potential and deserved at least a good/decent send-off to bring the series to a conclusion.

Exactly, should of killed thor in battle and let him bow out gracefully. Instead he becomes redundant after failing his people. Hulk does snap and is never seen in battle again. Wtf man. Iron man and widow died with honour, cant say the same for the rest.

Rogers is an avenger but decides to run to the past to get some 40's poosy instead of creating a new reality where starks parents dont die or bucky isnt turned against his own countrymen. Not my cap, he wouldnt sit by like that.

ROFL I think the thought of moving on and then the awkward confrontation after the correction, and the grief suicides just made this movie better for me

Captain Falcon is relatively new. I’d be down for it but Bucky should have come first.

1. He’s a super soldier
2. He’s been Steve best friend for like 100 years
3. They’ve teased Bucky with the shield in every Captain America film

They’ve been building to Bucky Cap since the very beginning. To pass over him at the very last second feels kinda fuked up.
