Dude, the irony in this post is breathtaking.

Brb, mindset is completely irrelevant as to whether someone succeeds or not
Brb, yeah, I sabotaged a romantic relationship because of a negative and counterproductive mindset
Brb, it doesn't matter though, because I would have still inevitably failed at it

Again that is all dependent on environment, people and other factors. It doesn't work for everyone.

1. I agree my mindset was poor in that situation
2. In this specific situation it wouldn't have mattered because I objectively suck at relationships with next to no experience.

Both of these are true and are compatible claims

Being good at "relationships" doesn't necessarily require past experience.

Being able to have normal, interpersonal relationships (platonic or otherwise) requires the ability to think ahead, compassion, and consistent effort. None of those things are skills that you need a previous relationship to learn.

But that's a digression;

Self-fulfilling prophecies will often fulfill themselves.

And once again, nobody is saying mindset is the only thing... but it is a BIG part of the equation.

However, I ain't gonna be able to fly like Goku no matter how hard I want to. But I can certainly learn how to build a machine to imitate that if I desired.

Give an example that is realistic and let's see if we can work with it

This is a good video that relates to the thread.

The key idea is, the typical person has an unrealistic optomism bias by default. People without that get called pessimistic but actually they are just realistic without the bias(such as myself)

No mate. You lack balls, so you take abstract talks like this to justify your own rot.

She tries to give you a balanced view of optimism/pessimism. At 8:30, she even suggests optimism is a precursor to success.

I was watching the below earlier. It reminded me of this thread, and it sums this discussion up accurately. It correlates with what I've heard from several rich guys; most people, especially unsuccessful ones, will not accept help or advice - even if they ask for it.

Never take it personal, even when it is.

She gave both sides of it, the the core idea though is that the typical person has an optimism bias that has no basis in reality, and those who are more realistic appear negative realtive to that, but they're not negative they just dont have the bias

This thread's been going in circles for pages.

Talking technicalities is endless, and also pointless. If you can't improve your life, and you live in the west, are not physically deformed or mentally handicapped, then you have literally no one to blame but yourself. Not society or genetics.

I'd suggest you start learning military history, if you haven't already. There's some really good youtube channels on the subject now. There have been countless individuals in history who have achieved outrageous military feats in the face of death, often through mindset, strategy, and discipline. If those 1000s of examples don't give you a different outlook, then some *******s on a bb forum definitely won't. Good luck.

You do realize that some people end up marrying the first person they date, even today? First girl I dated fell hard, could have married her but there were massive red flags so I ended it.

Think Pondus might be right, your main problem, and why you're FA, might just be your attitude.

Your entire post is a series of straw man arguments or misunderstandings. It doesn't matter if theoretically anyone can build muscle, for an ectomorph it'll still be tough, and the attitude and mindset he adopts while approaching the endeavor will make a difference.

This is nonsense.

Well, perhaps not nonsense as such, but hideously oversimplified.

it depends what you mean by improve your life. Improve how, to what extent? No matter what I do, I'll never be more than an average joe blow at best. Its not like we can all be rockstars. Most people will just be average people and they have to content with that, including myself

Not entirely true.

I would argue that a positive mindset allows for a greater deal of chance to affect your life.

The problem with a negative mindset is that in most cases you’re not allowing chance to step in. If you avoid asking out a girl because you’re pretty sure she will reject you, then you’ve made that outcome a reality because you never ask her. On the other hand, if you could muster up the courage to ask her, she may still say “no” as was expected, but she might also say “yes”.

You can’t control luck, but you can create opportunities for it.

But then why are you so focused on things you can't change, like height, face, etc? Focusing on attitude/mindset, and making just small improvements, so you can succeed when you find another girl who likes you, would be far more productive.

Its not rational for me to think about it all, but I do because I get horny and then have to remind myself why I should just go fap in a sock.

You are slightly caricaturizing my argument, I was not suggesting that his mindset would allow him to put on more muscle than he is physically capable of putting on. However, anyone who has trained understands that it is not a linear process. His mindset will partially determine whether he decides to quit when he stalls, or continue gathering new information, tweaking his program/diet, etc. I'm not some new age mystic who believes that 'mindset' can alter material reality, which is what you seem to be suggesting. However, my point is that it is not the case that success at an endeavor can be achieved independently of any mindset adopted. There is in fact a feedback loop.

And somehow there were dumb, short, fat, ugly, broke, smelly guys all over the planet stuffin’ poon when you made this post.

You just keep proving why your realist mentality doesn’t work. You don’t even make an attempt to find a girl - you get horny, fap, then forget about women until you are horny again. No results other than your cum in a sock.

If only you had a different mindset, a positive one; where you understand that someone will find you attractive and instead of looking for a fuk buddy the second you get horny - you start talking and being friendly to EVERY person you meet but especially women. Old and young, 1/10’s and 10/10’s. Cashiers, coworkers, neighbors, random people you just happen to be around. It could be an off comment, small talk, a compliment, say something smart, but just let it happen. Each conversation is a task with no specified duration, no desired outcome other than engaging with another human. If the conversation flows, let it, and eventually your going to find a woman that wants to talk more, and eat together, and hang out, and you will make a friend that will let you put your penis in her vagina over and over and over and over again.

You can't just walk up to people and bother them dude. I never see this unless people are on a smoke break or something because it's acceptable then. You can't just start flirting with a cashier or some girl that works on a different floor than you at work lmao. If it was that easy 30% of men wouldn't have claimed to have no sex in 2018.

I know you're trying to help, but I wouldn't totally give up on women unless I knew what I was talking about. If its this hard to fuk even a fatty for me, its just not worth it.

Can't or won't. It's not a question. You won't, and that's fine and all. But shut the fuk up about how you can't do this or that. You can, you just refuse to.

Might as well believe in the law of attraction if you think that a certain mindset will directly make you successful in business or with women.

It's the hard truth that most people aren't willing to accept. It's much comforting to keep believing in a lie that gives some kind of false hope. Humans are optimistic by nature and will do anything to run away from the sometime sad reality of life.
You're absolutely wrong. Mindset and your beliefs about yourself and your reality are literally everything.

People love to be told success isn't about inherent ability, they love a rags to riches story. Same as people love to see a slightly above average celebrity hailed as a sex symbol. In the real world it's all about genetics in one way or another. You can't be really telling me a positive mindset is necessary to keep lifting when your beginner gains are exhausted. Lifting is one of the most highly researched topics out there, there's more information on lifting than anything. What's necessary is common sense and also not being a pussy. When it comes to uncharted territory like starting a business or pursuing something where you can't have your hand held the whole time there's no place for a positive mindset, only brutal honesty or you could wind up a lot of money in the red.

Meeting women in my opinion is similar, it does come down to looks. Lol at thinking that if bagel manlet watched one of these youtube speeches and got hyped up to approach a hundred women he would get different results. Of course this is an extreme example, but necessary otherwise its very easy to get correlation/causation mixed up.
What you are ignoring is that that manlet could actually be attractive if he had a different mindset. Maybe his new mindset would cause him to be a celebrity and get a million girls? Maybe it would cause him to focus on a certain specialization and invent something and get high status and fame and money from that invention? Maybe it would cause him to actually leave his room and have him learn how to socialize and improve himself and his looks or cause him to get plastic surgery? You are not realizing what mindset can do.
