Sorry you expected more. Do you not think I was affected by gyms shutting down too ( 4 weeks after I made the switch)? I'm definitely happy with the progress I've made with some DB and bands in the basement lol

Same. I've been busting my ass previously in the gym. Getting prepared, driving etc took up a bunch of time. Now I'm doing my home workouts and blowing back up to previous size and I'm happy with it. All that extra effort to go train hard in the gym when a shorter workout and run at home has me looking 95% of that and is healthier with the cardio, AND easily shaves off 2 hours of extra time that I could spend doing other things.

I may stick with this for a while man. Plus gyms are packed from what my friends say, and having to wait for equipment was one of my biggest gripes.

I was initially a bit worried about making the shift to training at home, particularly due to my now limited equipment. However, I'm extremely glad I did make that switch. It's been 2 years now. It's made me realize just how little I can get away with doing to maintain my physique. I've done a few tests. I also noticed that, for myself, sticking to relatively heavy compounds till failure, good form, regular sleeping schedule, high nutrition diet, and low stress really works wonders. I think I look better now training 3x a week than I ever did in the past training 5-6 days a week and doing twice as many exercises. I was most likely overtraining back then.

Different folks, different strokes I guess. What works well for me might not work so well for you. You have to find a system that works best for you. No point sitting around judging others on how they choose to live their lives.

The large majority of them legit just say that to rustle, because they know it usually does.

Also, legit not sure why brahs are giving you crap. Nothing wrong with enjoying the gym, enjoying the process, and finding ways to make it fun and exciting for yourself. You look great.

I don't see why training for a little bit extra requires you not to be able to spend time doing anything else, those two things are not mutually exclusive. I mean, prior to lockdown I'd been spending 4+ hours daily doing some form of physical activity, and then on weekends I'd be doing 5-8. Granted, the large majority of my hobbies are physical activities.

With the right periodization model you can train 7 days a week.

Some people just like lifting? WTF kind of stupid question is this. Not everyone wants to be 220lbs and 8% BF.

Nothing wrong with exercising everyday assuming your training volume/diet is in order.
