In Classic I am going to be within 1-2 inches of everyone in my class, so when I say I am planning on outsizing them its not because of height, its because im way bigger in the offseason and had to deplete way more to make weight, but then when filled back out again ill have 20lbs on most of them.
so like I said, 4 guys, all 6 ft, all have to be 220lbs max at weigh ins, 3 of them say were 210/215 at the beginning of the week and may hit 225 on stage fully loaded, meanwhile I may be 230-235 the week of weigh ins, drop to 220, then carb back up to 240 on the stage. What is a 240 guy going to look like next to 225lb guys if the BF is the same? Thats a massive difference.

I'm nowhere near your size when I cut for my shows.
My avi pic was taken the day after winning Masters Over 60 at 164 pounds.
I usually started my preps around 187 pounds.
During my preps people at the gym would comment that I was looking bigger.
As the muscles become more defined we look bigger regardless of our actual weight,
These reactions form others was one of the hings that kept me inspired to continue the prep. I saw myself as shrinking up yet others saw me getting bigger.
Go figure.

My point is if you didn't know he was 4'11" and weighing 145 pounds in this pic you would think he was bigger.
For a short guy at 145 he does look big.
Put him next to Lou Ferrigno and he looks tiny.

It's all an illusion.

Conditioning was my friend. I had to acquire The Shredz bigly.
I look at this way. It takes a lot more effort and dedication to come in shredded with abs in Masters than just coming in big.
Ideally big and shredded is the way to go.

Long time lurker. After a ****ty year of stress due to little/no work, divorce, quit lifting for a year, and losing two family members, I decided to get back in the gym and go for as shredded as I’ve ever been in my life this year at age 34.
Started lifting again in November. Muscle memory is real. Started tracking my diet by weighing food and using fitness pal app yesterday. Also quit alcohol yesterday til my birthday end of May.
Currently 5’11” 206 friend’s fancy scale says I’m 21%bf ..was starting to shred at 193 pre divorce.
Goal 190 or below by end of May around 12% bf
This forum has helped me a lot just getting through the ****ty times and with diet and training advice. Thank you guys nohomo

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Solid physique, dude. What do you weigh in at during the offseason?
Mirin hard af. Crazy physique.
Type, what's good bro? Can you clear some space in your PMs? Been meaning to get back to you but I haven't been miscing of late and, to be honest, been pretty lazy these past few weeks.

Down from 197 to 185.5 in 2.5 weeks sitting at around 15% body fat
Most of the weight I've lost is obvs water. Sadly I think I've got a long ways to go. Another 10lbs should get me to my goal of bringing back my long lost six pack.

Considering leaving this crew and bloatmaxxing another 20-30lbs to try to get a 600lb squat.

I've been hammering the hack squat machine which seems to help way more than front squatting
Just looked at that cutting thread now I'm not sure about the bulk

Hey guys, Im currently 165lbs and about the leanest ive ever been, I want to cut 5 more an dhopefully be around 10% bodyfat or thereabouts! I was wondering what tips people have for getting the perfect picture of your shredz. My current plan is to cut for another 2 weeks, the about 36 hours prior to taking the photo start carbing up but drink minimal water for this time period. I have good downlighting in my room and also a tripod for taking the picture, I also will shave beforhand and if the weather is kind potentially get a sun tan. Then prior to the photo do a pump up workout, focusing on press ups, Lateral raises and bicep curls to bring out the most showy muscles.
