While Macron is getting used to a warm sweater, refineries are shutting down en masse in the country According to "Le Figaro"
The strike at France's TotalEnergies (the fourth largest in the world) led to the closure of six of the company's eight (!!!) refineries in the country. This caused a shortage of fuel at gas stations. For example, in Provence, 25 TotalEnergies stations have already run out of diesel, and at least thirty petrol stations are out of petrol.

Germany's economy minister today accused a number of countries, including the US, of charging too much for gas as Europe's largest economy struggles to balance its energy mix without Russian supplies.
"Some countries, even friendly ones, charge astronomical prices in some cases," Robert Habeck told the Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung newspaper.
"This naturally creates problems that we need to talk about," he said.
Russia's operation in Ukraine caused the deepest energy crisis in Germany, which previously received 55% of its gas from Russia.

I honestly believe that COVID was a biological attack by China when their dominance wasn't being seen and Trump was calling them out and actually working against them. So they infected their own population attempting annoculation with the idea of collateral damage thinking they could contain it while deceiving the world, then when the dust settles they will be the only one with a viable economy, basically the way the US took dominance after WWII. We were the only country in tact, we took control. However stupid communist and the rather dumb Chinese people who are in power mismanaged it and their inefficiencies and corruption reversed that.
So Russia feels really powerful right now cutting off Europe. Yeah, it's going to be rough for Eurocells. However it's going to push them further from China, Russia, and other nations, and closer to the US. It will also push them to learning alternatives from Russian resources.
- Its like this. I have the only plumbing company in town and I decided to fuk you by turning off your water. Yeah, it sucks for a while, you have a hard time getting drinking water and can't take a bath. I LOL hard. Then I see that you have dug a well and watched some youtube videos and rigged up your own system. Time heals wounds and I got to see if you want your water turned back on and you say "no thanks, I'm sweet". Next thing I know, you are digging wells at other people's houses and helping them. Yeah, I really won that one.

For the 1% maybe. The middle class has been in a steady decline since at least the 60s
The dollar dominance is over now though. It's a completely different game from here on out.

Per an AFP translation of the speech, Putin referred to "economic difficulties" in Russia.
