Symbolic gesture to show how much they support Ukraine and this idiot takes it as Poland annexing Ukraine. Complete down syndrome level thinking.

Pentagon: Russian military continues to struggle with poor morale, refusal to obey orders

I didn't realize winning results in extremely low morale issues and officers refusing orders.

Ukraine has more territory now than it did a month ago, and they will continue to gain territory back until its all under their control. "Winning" is Ukraine actively resisting Russian occupation which they are doing extremely well.

BTW lend-lease program starts today. Ukraine now has basically unlimited supply of minutions and equipment flowing into the front lines.

As Mr Beer pointed out, Poland has been itching to mobilize into Ukraine. They've been ramping up their joint training/arming of ukraine's military and have been polling very heavily in regards to actually mobilizing into Ukraine. Now their president is talking about ending borders.

Russia is reviewing what "forced labor" means for prisoners now that the country is facing a serious shortage of people with IT skills.

Waging war on another country and the sanctions that have followed means skilled workers are leaving Russia in droves and local businesses need to find replacements. With vacancies for IT positions numbering the high tens of thousands, Russian prisoners are now being viewed as a new source of potential talent.

As KrebsonSecurity reports, late last month the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service announced it was considering using prisoners for remote IT work at commercial Russian companies. According to Alexander Khabarov, deputy head of Russia’s penitentiary service, the idea was proposed by a number of businessmen in Russia eager to find the staff they needed.

There's thought to be around 95,000 jobs requiring IT skills in Russia that can't be filled. The reason? IT specialists are fleeing the country, with the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) estimating up to 100,000 are leaving for new overseas positions in destinations including the US, Germany, Georgia, Cyprus, and Canada.

Lockheed Martin is addressing concerns about the continued supply of shoulder-fired Javelin anti-tank missile systems, one of the key weapons being used by Ukraine in its ongoing defense against the Russian invasion. The company has confirmed that the production rate of the anti-tank missile will be almost doubled, responding to the demand from Ukraine as well as the continued requirement for these weapons to arm the United States and other allies and partners.

UA being supplied with foreign MLRS systems(US). These can and will most likely be used to take out the bridges connecting Crimea to Russia.

Yeah, to fight Russia. Which BTW I'm against, much as I'd like to see Putin's expeditionary force crushed between Poland and Ukranian forces.

So much for China and Russia teaming up.

HONG KONG—Chinese tech companies are quietly pulling back from doing business in Russia under pressure from U.S. sanctions and suppliers, despite calls by Beijing for companies to resist overseas coercion.

Several major companies are curtailing shipments in Russia, where Chinese tech firms dominate the market for many products, without making any public announcements, according to interviews with people familiar with the matter.

They include PC giant Lenovo Group Ltd. and smartphone and gadget maker Xiaomi Corp., the people said. In contrast to many Western firms, the companies have avoided making public statements about

Russia’s war in Ukraine or their business there as Beijing opposes Western sanctions.
Consumer drone giant SZ DJI Technology Co. made the unusual move of announcing the suspension of its business last month in both Russia and Ukraine pending a compliance review.

China’s exports of tech products to Russia fell sharply in March from February, with shipments of laptops declining more than 40%, smartphones down by nearly two-thirds and exports of telecom base stations down 98%, according to the most recently available Chinese government trade data.

...

The sharp decline in tech exports to Russia highlights the sweeping nature of the West’s sanctions and their ability to reach deep into supply chains to compel the behavior of companies based far away, even when the governments of countries where those firms are based oppose them. China’s overall exports to Russia fell 27% in value from February to March, official trade data show.

...

Western sanctions include strict controls that block exports to Russia’s defense sector and the export of products made using U.S. equipment, software or blueprints, even when those products are made by non-U.S. companies. The measures have proven especially effective in the technology sector, whose complex global supply chains offer numerous levers for the U.S. government to pull.

A Victory Day celebration broadcast on Russian state TV featured a photograph of the real Bonnie and Clyde in a segment supposedly devoted to couples who were separated during WWII. The image is the first pic on their Wikipedia page lol.

Russia admits it faces economic collapse over Putin’s war
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business...nergy-mccolls/
Russia's economy has plunged into its worst crisis for almost three decades as the country is battered by Western sanctions, a leaked copy of the Kremlin's own forecasts shows.

The Russian finance ministry is predicting a 12pc collapse in GDP this year, the biggest contraction since 1994 when it was shifting towards capitalism under Boris Yeltsin, the first post-Soviet president.

A collapse would wipe out around a decade of economic growth.
Keep in mind, because this is the Russian government itself saying this, you best believe they're playing around with the numbers. If theyre predicting a decade of growth wiped out, the real number is probably about 20-30 yrs of growth destroyed.

Not to mention suddenly losing dozens of companies people have come to like. We might take it for granted but places like McDonalds, Uniqlo, etc., mean a lot to people in formerly isolated countries.
