Dead fkn srs, if any Christian ****ggs want to challenge me, I'll prove categorically, and from your own Bible that he is unhinged af and isn't worthy of praise. He's fkd in the head brahs

dead fkn srs this is the real tea
how do you know what god is and what god's intentions are? have you spoken to god?

what you think you know about god are from interpreting books that were written by men who then used those books to control the masses. the illiterate masses who believed them when they were told they would go to hell if they didnt follow the words in these books. but dont worry about learning to read, you can just pay the church to teach these books to you.

the point im trying to make here is that religion is great if people can use it as motivation to be better people and live better lives, but religion has been used too many times in the past to manipulate and control people. and yes i believe in god, but im not convinced it is eternal love, maybe the universe was created for no reason other than entertainment, and god only loves the people who are worth loving.

Implying NDEs are meaningless is just as much speculation ("philosophical babble") as suggesting that there may be something to them. Ultimately, we don't know - and acting as though it's moronic to discuss/consider/ponder anything that hasn't been proven by "Science" is pretty silly. There's clearly a shyt ton about the universe/reality that we don't know. Do we need men in white lab coats to prove something before discussing or speculating on it?

Not to mention you're "Phythagoras Crew"...who was into a lot of Mysical/Occult stuff.

You do need some controlled experiment to demonstrate a phenomenon, yes. People may personally have experienced things, but there is no way of knowing what they experienced or what happened without careful study.

Sure, but my point is automatically insisting that an idea or interpretation of something is absurd and dismissing it by default because that hasn't happened is what I think is silly. Huge difference between that and "I don't personally believe that because I haven't seen sufficient evidence to convince me". One is arrogant and very narrow minded - the latter is very reasonable skepticism.

Sure. Agreed. I take the latter approach, but with the added point that we already have some good reasons to believe NDE are due to hallucinations rather than an actual physical event. After all, it would throw a lot of our already established understanding of the world out the window. So, it is more likely that the simpler explanation, which fits our current understanding, is true.

Which may quite possibly be very rudimentary in the grand scheme of things.

We are talking about value and morality systems. As David Hume said "you can't get an ought from an is" so where else are you going to get morality and value judgments from other than philosophy?

You know oP. The thing and problem about teachings. If they are not properly explained and taught properly it's going to lead you to dismay.

Look at it like a road map if someone creates you a map and prints it out. It might look professional but if that maps destininations and highways and routes are put down wrong. You are going to get lost. You aren't going to end up where you intended to go.

You are entitled to an opinion same as anyone else. Just arm yourself with the truth before you base an opinion and most definitely before you plan a course of action
