You can visibly see how miserable they are. It's messed up man. Imagine just living life as a shell. There's nothing inside. And all you can do is chase clout and stuff to try to fill the hole. That's some bitchmade chit brah. You give me a nice meal, clean water, and a quiet place to think, and I'm good. I don't want for much. Don't need much. I get more satisfaction using my money to help ppl in need. It's best not to be too attached to chit. Anything can take it away.

1. "Happy"
2. Tens of thousands of posts on the internet over the last decade, all in a similar vein, and being rustled by those clearly in a far superior psychological state.

I wonder how happy some of the latest posters would be to know that it is folks like us who give more to charity each year than they earn.

I posted about it earlier ITT and a few of these self-proclaimed happy folks started frothing at the mouth. You know, the whole 'kill people with full time jobs' sort of hammer and sickle cope.

Good for you brother, but truly, I tell you, learn to give out of sacrifice, not out of abundance.

Monetary charitable gifts are nice, but by far, not the most important of charitable gifts. By spreading the Word and teachings of Christ our Lord are worth so much more.

You mentioned time earlier, and I agree.

I have helped out in soup kitchens too, washing plates and handing out food to those less fortunate. But many cannot reconcile the two behaviors together, because they are so bitter.

Yet they are not mutually exclusive.

Certainly. Yes, volunteering time is a huge sacrifice. That is awesome, sincerely. I know my opinion doesn't mean chit to anyone on the internet, but it impresses me more when someone sacrifice their time than throwing money at charities.

Some (not all) employers think the same, and match the hours of volunteering that their staff do, with a financial contribution on top of that.

I was raised catholic and still remember the valuable lesson taught to help those less fortunate. None of that runs contradictory to financial security and abundance, at least not necessarily.

Peace be with you.

But still, I don't think jerking off to cartoons three times in an hour is an "accomplishment".

Can't buy time boyos...sure there's plenty of wealthy dudes that would pay any price to just have 5 years of their youth back...living as working class, middle class or even poor when you classify them on a income scale.

Extreme early retirement people take that time...makes it like they get to live multiple lifetimes compared almost everyone else. Imagine being 50 years old and already 15-25 years into retirement? Unlimited relatively stress free time for aging family members...for kids...for a significant other.

Some folks are confused I think.

Retired life is great. But if I "retire" off the back of my wife working a full time job to handle the family finances, that isn't "retirement". It is "living off someone else."

Retirement means you have achieved financial independence. Someone born into wealth doesn't "retire", since they were born never having to work in the first instance.

yeah but I'm saying you don't have to "check out" completely. Working hard just isn't worth it sometimes. Thats just my mentality. This is coming from someone with a stem degree and job.
