Lol at twitter polls
Strictly from a debate performance perspective, Trump lost handedly. Even some of my conservative friends and family are saying this. His optics were really bad and he fell for the bait time and time again. It wasn't as bad as his first 2020 debate with Biden, but it was still pretty bad.
Fatnessislife's policy cope aside - this debate was never about policy. We already know their policies, this isn't the 60s where access to information is limited. It was about how the candidates act and their personalities. Kamala came off prepared and presidential. Trump ranted and raved and was his own worst enemy.

Just 23% of Independents think the economy is on the right track
"A majority of voters think the U.S. economy is on the wrong track, according to a new poll, as the Federal Reserve appears likely to lower interest rates this month after months of holding them steady.
The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll showed 63 percent of respondents said the economy is on the wrong track, while 30 percent said it’s on the right track and 8 percent said they’re not sure.
Opinions were split along partisan lines, with 54 percent of Democrats saying the economy is going in the right direction but only 9 percent of Republicans saying the same. The poll found 23 percent of independents said it’s on the right track.
The overall number is about in line with where it’s been throughout much of the past few years. The overall approval and partisan sentiments are a few points lower than they were in the spring.
“Discontent with the economy has been present during most of [President] Biden’s term and shows no signs of changing,” said Mark Penn, the co-director of the poll. “Nearly half see their personal economic situation as deteriorating and high prices are seen as sticky.”
Pollsters found 62 percent of respondents said the economy is weak, while 38 percent said it is strong."
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...y-wrong-track/
The Federal Reserve is dropping rates the next few sessions in a row for a reason. Inflation be damned, as core CPI is coming in hot. Goods are facing deflation, while services are inflating at high rates.

Trump won bigly. Kamala didn't answer one question and lied about everything. He cooked her and the two mods. Right off the bat she completely disregarded the very first question.

They both sucked and neither of them answered questions. Trump really messed up by not crushing her on immigration. Instead he just kept repeating over and over that criminals and drug dealers came here and brought up that dog eating story (i don't care if it is true or not) instead of talking about how her administration let it all happen in detail AND how much tax payer money is being spent on illegal immigration across the US because of it.
What are you on about mate?

We know that Democrats don't win elections unless they cheat, and it looks like they're already ramping it up.

Lol everyone is calling out the clear bias of the ABC moderators today. They done embarrassed themselves and made their support of Kamala too obvious. They never challenged any of her lies while they challenged everything Trump said and even injected their own personal opinion against him at times. They completely failed at being moderators. It wasn't a debate, it was a 3 vs 1 extension of the Kamala campaign.

1 in 5 student loan borrowers admit (so in reality it's probably higher than that) to not having made a single payment on their student loans.
"The decision to not make payments likely stems from affordability issues as nearly half (49%) of student loan borrowers feel financially unstable right now, and more than half (55%) say they are unable to afford their student loan payments. Low-income borrowers are being hit especially hard – 65% of those with less than $50K in HHI say they cannot afford their student loan payments.
Many borrowers grappling with affordability challenges blame the cost of living with 69% saying that the high cost of living has made it difficult for them to afford their payments. Borrowers are having to make tradeoffs when it comes to paying down debt, and it’s negatively impacting their ability to make financial progress. 38% of student loan borrowers say they’ve fallen behind on other bills (e.g. auto loan, mortgage, credit card)in order to make payments toward their student loans, while another 39% are forgoing making payments toward their student loans to pay down other high-interest debt.
Perhaps even more concerning is the38% of borrowers who say they’ve depleted their savingsto pay their student loans, increasing to 44% of Gen Z and 41% of millennial borrowers. As a likely result, about one-third (34%) of student loan borrowers say they have $0 in savings, which is the case for 55% of borrowers with less than $50K in HHI.
Being able to make payments toward their student loans comes at a cost for many borrowers who have had to make sacrifices and lifestyle adjustments to do so. In order to afford their student loan payments, borrowers havedecreased their non-essential spending (37%), taken on additional work to increase their income (31%), sacrificed necessities like groceries, rent and bills (26%),applied for an income-driven repayment plan (IDR) or other government programs to lower their monthly payments (24%), dipped into their emergency savings (23%) and put off key financial milestones like buying a home or having children (21%)."
https://www.creditkarma.com/about/co...an-forgiveness
Let me guess, per NYPat Credit Karma isn't a trustworthy source.
One takeaway from this is a lot of people doing things like Doordash are doing so on the side in order to pay their student loan payments or just to be able afford basic life.

I didn't watch the debate. I heard it was ABC moderators and Kamala vs Trump though. Even from a couple of hardcore Democrats that hate Trump.

Report: ABC Campaign Coverage Has Been 100% Positive for Harris, 93% Negative for Trump
A report from the Media Research Center’s (MRC) NewsBusters found that an analysis of “100 campaign stories” aired on World News Tonight, hosted by David Muir, found “25 clearly positive statements” made about Harris from “reporters, anchors, voters or other non-partisan sources,” which represented a 100 percent positive spin on the outlets reporting for Harris.
The 100 campaign stories that MRC reviewed stemmed from July 21, when Harris entered the 2024 presidential race, to September 6.
An analysis of ABC’s reporting on Trump found “five clearly positive statements” and “66 negative statements,” representing a 93 percent negative spin on the outlets reporting for Trump.
However, thecoverage of Harris on CBS was found to be 94 percent positive, while Trump’s was 77 percent negative.NBC’s coverage of Harris was found to have been 71 percent positive, and 86 percent negative for Trump.
Those are State sponsored propaganda outlets. Thats fact.

Seems fair enough to call out the cat eating and post-birth abortion nonsense.
Neither candidate would answer questions, had to be fukking tedious to "moderate" two yapping retards.

I thought Trump won imo. Something like 60-40. He got a little off kilter about 2/3rds of the way through but brought it back again in the end. He kept his cool. For the most part stayed on point. Didn't insult her race or sex even though the mods tried to bait him to do so. I also liked how he never looked at her during the debate while she was looking at him the entire time. Thought that was alpha. He also looked better as well. Looked like he has lost some weight.
I don't think it was a clear win but he had the edge pretty decisively imo. And before anyone calls me a Trump tard, I said in 2020 that Trump was terrible in the first debate and was soundly beaten by Biden.
I have to admit I was a little surprised when I saw so many media outlets immediately saying Harris won right after, even a few people on Fox. But it would behoove the media outlets to tout Harris as a close race means more clicks and views for them.....which means $.
