On a scale from 1-10, how burned out are you right now?

So I'm in a unique place in my life. I haven't been on vacation in about 14 months, and have been doing nothing but hustling for about the last 2.5 years at this point. I still generally get drunk once per weekend, but other than this, it's been nothing but gym and work for the past couple years.

Have been working on a super stressful project for about 12 months now, and although things are looking really good and the hard part is over, it's still 12 months from payoff and it still requires a lot of my time. However, because I did such a great job on this project, people saw it and have been giving me a bunch of other similar projects so there's almost no apparent end to my stressful work life.

With this being said, I'm only probably a 6/10 on a scale of burnout. However, I was just watching a video of a guy traveling in Syria and had a strong urge to just book a flight somewhere and go travel for a couple weeks First time in a while that's happened. I really could use a trip where I just party for like 3 weeks and smash a bunch of random girls and simply exist in some other random place in the world.

How about you guys? Do Miscers get burned out? Or do they just not work, so it's all lollipops and rainbows?

I'm not burned out. All I do is take Adderall, jerk off ten times a day and make sure my freezer is full of Hot Pockets and chicken tendies. The closest I come to losing it is when my mom forgets to put them on her shopping list.

Incredibly but on the bright side I am def ahead of most people my age and I’m not paying tax on 1/3 of my overtime and since I work a lot of overtime that’s pretty nice. I still have to pay way too much in income tax for someone who doesn’t make even 6 figs.

I don’t want to do it anymore

I’m tired of the corporate world

Want to low cortisol maxx and euromaxx

So maybe 10/10 .. my industry is going to shit too with a ton of funds halting redemptions so I’m constantly in a state of stress over job security, also I need to perform and raise capital or I’m fired but literally don’t know if I can in this environment… just don’t want to do it anymore srs … would rather work at wal mart

Welcome to corporate life, it's not burn out. It's just that you're numb, the continuous numbness is incredibly tedious, frustrating annoying, boring, soul sucking and stressful at the same time. Coupled with bills, relationships, it's all so tiresome. I have to suppress my thoughts of wanting this war with Iran to escalate so that I can just crash out.

Do you think if you enjoyed what you did you would be burning out? hell no. You'd be bathing it's glory, sucking everything up like a dry sponge coming into contact with liquid for the first time.

So I'm self employed, and actually love what I do. But I've been operating in near crisis mode with a ton of different twists and turns and having to put out fires with the added stress that I will make $1M on this specific deal in a couple years, but if I fuck up and don't accomplish all of these 15 steps, that $1M will disappear and I wasted all of this time for no pay.

I'm a strong motherfucker, and I'll have a lot to show for it once this is complete. But even the strongest people can only withstand this for a finite amount of time.

Im burned out. These days are going by extremely fast. I have no hobbies. I just commute, work, commute home, then rot.

2 off days just isnt enough

I have an interview for a WFH position. I doubt I get it, but im gonna study up on it a bit.

Speaking of small business, Im actually thinking of going that route. Construction Scheduler or Estimator working for GCs. Pulling 6 figures should be easy.

Only thing is I lack the experience in both those. So that's what im trying to figure out.
