I meant Rotors too...when we say breaks up North it means both automatically. Rotors are always warping/rusting from the salt and need replaced with brakes every. fkn.time.

I did two rear with pads plus a caliper for $400 on the jeep

Yah rotors with pads is pretty standard unless your brokie pad slapper. You can get rotors so cheap from Rockauto it doesn’t even make sense to not change them

See in Pa, there are these things called inspections. No baloney skins will pass and why stick pads on warped rusty rotors?

Well i use mine as a TRUCK. your 'wranglie' sits around getting zoomer upgrades like after market stereos and dildo wraps on your manual stick to granny shift.

Funny how it works. Every guy and his dad is a master mechanic and there are tons of shops and people who will come out and do it in your driveway yet quality places can charge what they do. There is a reason for it.

I have no clue what a brake job should cost.

I do all mine myself, and buddies cars if they need help.

I remember when rotors used to be like $50. Now the cheapest napa ones are approaching $100 a corner.

Because if I’m putting new pads on I want a clean surface for rotors? It’s like two extra bolts on most calipers to change a rotor. Pad slippers is what they do in the hood

the surface of the rotors ARE clean where it matters, the pads keep the surface smooth and clean lol. u just want shiny rotors u simple fuck. what a waste. also when u put on new pads on old rotors u give it a few good hard brake checks at first and that mates/forms the surface of the pad to perfectly fit onto clamping the rotor

we make do like that up here in communist land

My point here is I didn't have to get dirty and use Lava soap. Certain things I'll do but that aint one of em.
