Ya the prices for glass for a mirrorless camera are insane , about double the same glass for a dslr . Tbh I never would buy 2.8f stop glass again of if I did it all over again , well other than primes .
4.0 lenses are so much lighter and less expensive. If you can right this off though great

I already have a business but not a photography business. So either I yolo it and claim I need a decent camera for business purposes. Or I add photography to my official business activities to be sure but never quite get it off the ground

I noticed prisons use high end cameras to photograph inmates so the government is also splurging on expenses. They could just use a potato phone cam, it would be fine

And not a single set of any of my camera bodies was more than 2k. top of the line 70-200 is like $2,200.

Where the fuck are you looking? a cheap entry level kit is like $700.

Mid range is $2k

Only the top of the line with the most features camera body is over $4k

Anyway I googled best camera 2026 and it proposed Canon eos r6 mark iii (3k) and then I googled best lens for that camera and it proposes a 3k lens. So 6k total. Going to yolo it and tell my wife it cost like 300 bucks

The Canon R6 markiii is the exact camera I’d like to own . I like the onboard focus stacking feature , and the fact you don’t have to do it in post .
It’s $3,500 here plus tax

I’m in Canada , so it may be much cheaper for you if you’re in the US

Agreed. I've been shooting photography for around 10 yrs and I've never spent that kind of money. Some of my work has been sold and some of my work has been in shows...
