5 things NOT worth the money - from a Surgeon
1. The luxury car that sits in a parking deck 12 hours a day
2. The watch I bought because I felt like I'd made it
3. First class. I was catching up on charts the whole flight anyway
4. A house with rooms I've never sat in
5. The version of success I was sold at 22

I dunno, I think First Class is worth it on some flights. If it's an overnight flight where you're showing up somewhere at 8am local time and want to get a full night of decent sleep on the way and upgrading is only $500 extra, I will upgrade 10/10 times.

Doctors didn't even make the top 5 professions of Dave Ramsey's millionaire study. Taking money advice is like taking their medical advice without allowing them to use Google in the next room over. A guess.

Agreed
Usually manlets or low IQ entertainers/sportsball players feel the need to show others that they made it. Imagine intentionally inviting gold diggers, leeches, and jealous haters into your life by trying to show everyone you have some money

So I would say they are ideal people to ask this question to, as they can give an honest answer without any other pressures involved.

Doctors are often involved in risky poorly performing investments.
See Boiler Room and Wolf of Wall Street.
They think their medical intelligence transfers to investing intelligence and get overly confident. Wrong.
Hubris is fatal.
A truly wise man is smart enough to know what he doesn't know.

Yeah I seen the Porsches at doctors office and thought what's the point don't they work all the time do they even get time to drive the thing. Plus they probably feel the need to keep it detailed at all times which they also pay for
Just get a Camry and throw the difference in the sp500 you could retire at like 45 if you had a dr salary and didn't lifestyle creep

Disagree with first class. If it's more than like 2.5 hour flight I'm doing first class.
Perhaps on a really long flight it would be worth it, like at least 10 hours

On the middle economy seat, you might sleep 1 hour and arrive at the destination and waste 2 days feeling like crap and sleeping during the day. On the lay flat seat where you get a full 7-8 hours of quality sleep, you arrive fully rested and step off the plane and immediately begin doing things.

I can't justify the cost of first class on my current salary but if money was no object I would do first class every single time
Or if the cost was more reasonable like if it was a 20 percent upcharge and not several thousand dollars
I hate the stupid airline seats
My back hurts my knees hurt and always some fat fuck next to you spilling into your seat.
You seen the photos of planes from like the 1960s? The seats were huge basically like first class today except the whole plane

Bullshit. Nice things cost money.
Every single one of those items/experiences can be had for less, but at a lower quality. Same end result, but very different experience getting there.
