If you use money to attract attention, dont not be surprised at attracting women with the same shallowness as the paradigm of "using money to attract women". What did you expect?

Money is not bad. If you have money let that be a bonus. But do not use it to attract women. You will not find very many quality people that way.

Screenwriting project. Had a script finished and sent it to director who was interested. He hated it and said it needed a total re-write and was going to co-author with me. Then after a couple of days, he said his sched would not allow him to do that and backed out. That was months ago.

Now I could have cried and got upset and pouted. OR I could have realized that I was good enough to get his attention in the first place and just concentrate on the project. Disappointing? Yes. But now the re-write is done and I have 3 options for it going forward. I focused on what got me there in the first place and kept plowing ahead.

Trying to rehab an injury and have put on too much weight. But watching what I eat, and hitting what workouts I can. I wont quit so I have to win

Your advice all seems fine except the trade your alcohol for an SUV bit.

$100 on alcohol a week for 8 years? Most people will never make decisions as badly as you did.

Id rather have great memories bonding with my friends then driving around lonely in a new car wondering what might have been.

I'm just saying that I could have had fun without abusing the alcohol and been better off financially. Its figurative not literal.
