I only read up to about page 4 so sorry if this was already asked, but what are the main qualities you need to work in sales? My main aversion to joining that industry is that i've always assumed its extremely commissions-based and while i'm generally a confident speaker (I need to be for my career), not sure if I could have my livelihood depend on my ability to cold call kunts and try and sell them a product (assuming thats what you actually do).

Doesn't say what he does, reading it doesnt tell me what job he has except that it's something vague in sales.
Doesn't say how he got it except that he got ''lucky''.
So the only thing i need in life is luck?
Seriously, how is this supposed to uplift anyone?
Oh some guy who was doing bad somehow is now doing good by doing some kind of a sales job.
Which he got by luck instead of something you can control yourself so you could actually change your life.

I went from being extremely poor and pretty much being a month away from going bankrupt to making almost as much in one month as I did the year before by being in the right place at the right time. Got tired of the life I was living. Packed everything up and moved away from my friends and family. I did the move in the dead of winter during one of the worst blizzards ever. They actually shut down the highway about a few hours after I went through after there were two fatal car accidents. I actually pretty much went off the road at one point but by pure luck there was a corner ahead so I ended up staying on the highway.

Is there luck involved? yes but at the same time if you put the odds in your favor you will eventually get there
