Went to popular "high end" night club this weekend. Lost all faith in humanity

This wasn't a teen club or a 21-25 year old college club. But a 25-35 higher end, dressy night club in a major city.

I walk in and the first thing I notice is the girls are dressed like complete sloots, this is a good thing.

At regular bars it is easy for me to strike up convos with girls, and get looks from girls. The girls were only interested in the guys with tables and bottles. You could of been brad pitt and they wouldnt bat an eye unless you had "bottle service".

Every other girl is on her snap chat taking videos of themselves dancing around and singing the words to songs. Saw on more then one occasion groups of girls posing for group pictures and doing 10-25 re do photos to get the perfect angles.

Groups of guys buying multiple $500 bottles of booze for their tables. Then girls all line up to try and get a seat at their table. Once they get to sit next to these guys they ignore the guys and take selfies/snap chats with bottles of booze.

The whole scene honestly felt like the filming of a movie where there is a club scene. No actual socializing going on. Just split second choreographed scenes for selfies/snap chats/ videos of fake "fun."

I have known for years that social media has had negative effects on our society, but this took it to a whole new level.

Agreed. People care more about getting likes and putting out the illusion of having fun than actually having fun. Hollow people. Would rather go out on a camping/cabin trip with a few close friends and no cell phone reception than ball out at a club any day.

I go out drinking almost every weekend. Usually to just dive bars or house parties. The whole club experience was a total 180 from that.

This is true and I'm 100% guilty of it. Most of my snapchats are usually me having fun

I went to a club once, never again.

Don't wanna be that guy but the past club scenes looked so cool. Everyone's just having fun, not trying to perpetuate their ego.

I've noticed the same chit, clubs are fuking terrible nowadays. Bunch of phonies and fraudsters trying to look cool but end up looking like sheep blindly following the herd without even really knowing why they're doing it.

Yeah it was sad seeing all these guys show of their money. Wouldnt be surprised if they are just average 9-5 guys making 60k per year and just blow all their money trying to impress people at night clubs.

Ironically, people care so much about the way their own social media profiles look that they don't actually care about what other people post on theirs.

unfortunately, that's the way of the world. Sloots want to make themselves look good thinking they'll turn into the next Kardashians, guys want to look interesting/fun to get laid. I feel like at this point you either play the game or get left behind

dive bars are GOAT for this exact reason.. I enjoy a club type atmosphere maybe once or twice every 6 months.. Rather spend $100 at a dive or neighborhood type bar and have a blast than blow $1000 and be around people that are there for status only...

I'm always more surprised in these threads that you guys will spend money on cover and drinks, yet not want to dance...in a club. Always blows my mind when I see guys hugging the walls just staring at everyone else on the dance floor.

If you don't have a big group or don't want to waste money on bottle service/rats, the key is; get this...dancing! I've been to clubs across the country because I actually like to dance. The few times I didn't have a great time, was because I had to babysit friends who needed liquid courage to actually dance and ended up having too much. The saying is old, but its still true: if girls see you're having a good time, they'll come to you.

Truest statement have heard

No social media crew, and I am invisible to everyone, even people I grew up with don't associate because I don't have a ******** , even though I od have a phone number.

Never had an issue getting girls, but when social media blew up to what it is today, the whole game changed. Don't have an issue pulling some 5/10 at the end of the night, but real "quality" girls stop talking to me at "What's your ********", "Errrrr I don't have one".

Fukk it, still not gonna get one.
